Genshin Impact’s newest gameplay trailer shows off one of the four-stars joining the game with the Version 4.0 update, the Anemo Sword user Lynette. With less than 24 hours until the release of the HoYoverse RPG’s newest region, the developer has rolled out a variety of trailers welcoming fans to Fontaine. HoYoverse would recently debut a pair of trailers for Version 4.0’s featured five-star character,Fontaine’s eccentric magician Lyney. Now, the game’s newest trailer has revealed the gameplay for Lyney’s faithful assistant and sister, Lynette.

With Fontaine’s introduction toGenshin Impacton the horizon, fans have already been introduced to plenty of new characters coming with the region. An earlier teaser trailer showed off a variety of previously leaked characters planned to be introduced throughout Fontaine including Navia, Wriothesley, and Hydro Archon Focalors among others. The region is also expected to introduce diving and underwater combat within the boundaries of Fontaine, fitting for the region of the Hydro Archon. Now, players are getting a closer look at one of Fontaine’s highly-anticipated cast members.

The newest Character Demo Trailer forGenshin Impact, titled “Lynette: Cat in the Box,” officially reveals the gameplay for the stoic magician. The trailer shows off Lynette’s flashy Normal Attack animations, even performing a flip for one of her attacks.Lynette’s Elemental Skill features different attacksfor pressing and holding the Skill with the hold launching her into a dash, marking enemies similarly to Yelan’s Elemental Skill. Lynette’s Elemental Burst creates a “Bogglecat Box” which taunts enemies and swirls elements that contact the friendly unit.

Fans excited for Lynette’s release won’t have to wait long after the update to pick her up and try out the newest Anemo character. HoYoverse has previously revealed thatLynette will be made available as a free characterfollowing the launch of Version 4.0. Players can claim their free copy of the new four-star character by reaching Adventure Rank 25 following the update, with the character immediately redeemable through the game’s event menu. Lynette’s free availability is believed to be permanent, similar to other free milestone characters like Collei.

Lynette won’t be the only new four-star character to join the game with Version 4.0, with the third of the siblings coming later.Freminet has been revealedas the youngest of the trio of siblings joining with Version 4.0, expected to join the game as a Cryo Claymore user. Unlike Lyney and Lynette, Freminet will arrive with the second half of Version 4.0 alongside re-runs of popular five-star characters Tartaglia and Zhongli.Genshin Impactfans look to have plenty of new options to add to their teams with the launch of the game’s newest region.
