Runic attacks are special skills rewarded upon unlocking certain Legendary Chests inGod of War Ragnarok. Not all chests are easy to find, some are carefully hidden or guarded by a group of enemies. Two types of Runic attacks exist inGod of War Ragnarok; Light and Heavy. It’s commonly known that the latter causes more damage and has a higher chance of stunning enemies than the former. That’s not necessarily true though, as sometimes upgrading the special skills affects the damage and stun factors caused by the weapon.
These special skills offer an extra powerful attack when Kratos is in a tough situation. Some Runic attacks are for stunning the enemies, giving players a few seconds to react, while other attacks focus on burning or freezing the opponents to cause continuous damage. Five Heavy Runic attacks can be found for the Blades of Chaos inGod of War Ragnarok.
