For the last couple of months, fans ofHalo Infinitehave been quite starved for new content. While many players enjoyed the single-player campaign and the various multiplayer modes that were included at launch, there hasn’t been that much by way of additional modes or content forHalo Infinitesince release. However, according to 343 Industries' latest update via Halo Waypoint, that all could change rather soon.
When it first launched,Halo Infinitewas missing a number of expected features and modes that had appeared across numerous entries in theHaloseries. This included Forge mode,co-op mode forHalo Infinite’scampaign, and additional multiplayer modes that were also present in previous installments, such as King of the Hill. Luckily, 343 Industries has since provided fans with a better idea of when and what to expect fromHalo Infinitein the months to come.

Over on Twitter, the officialHaloaccount revealed that a new roadmap forHalo InfiniteSeason 2, along with new details regarding fan requested content, was posted onHalo Waypoint. The roadmap explains that campaign co-op is expected to release in August 2022, with the open beta for Forge mode having a targeted release date of September 2022.
In addition to campaign co-op and Forge mode, the roadmap also showed offnew game modes forHalo Infinite, which included King of the Hill, Land Grab, and Last Spartan Standing. It appears these modes, along with two new maps, will be the most immediate pieces of new content releasing next month.
A number of fans might be upset by the fact that the more highly requested features like co-op and Forge mode are releasing so late into the year, but it’s important to keep in mind that, at the very least,343 Industriesis being as transparent as it can be with its audience. It would be far more problematic if this roadmap didn’t exist at all and fans were just left to wonder and speculate when these modes would release, if at all.
In retrospect, it might have been better if 343 Industries had launchedHalo Infinitewith more content, considering the level of outcry from fans at the moment. Although, when taking this new roadmap into account, along with the ongoing rumors of abattle royale mode forHalo Infinite, it does seem like there will be a greater influx of content forHalo Infiniteat some point in the future. Hopefully, the content listed on this roadmap meets expectations when it finally arrives.
Halo Infiniteis available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
