Kojima announced his new stealth action game after showing off aDeath Stranding 2trailer that confirmed that game’s 2025 release window. The new stealth action game was described as a “next-generation action espionage game” and it was said that development “will begin in earnest” after the release ofDeath Stranding 2. “I am confident that this title will be the culmination of my work,” Kojima said. Specifics on whatPhysintwill be about were not sharedduring the State of Play, but Kojima did say that he plans on using cutting-edge technology and “talent from around the world” to make it. “With this title, we hope to transcend the barriers between film and video games.”

The choice to label the new stealth action game from Kojima Productions as a “next-generation” title is an interesting one, to say the least. Kojima Productions currently has two major products in the works. Besides 2025’sDeath Stranding 2, there’s alsoOD, which is being madein collaboration with Jordan Peele. Since development on the new stealth action game isn’t going to ramp up until afterDeath Stranding 2is complete, one has to imagine that there’s a very good possibility that the game will be released for the PlayStation 6, as opposed to the PlayStation 5.
Upcoming Hideo Kojima Games
Reports indicate that thePS6 will likely launch in 2028. Unless Kojima Productions is able to produce the new game within three years, then it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see the game land on Sony’s next console. With the game having yet to truly start development, though, that remains to be seen.
