Over the past several months, there has been a growing variety ofElden Ringfan art that has come out. There has been artwork that’s gone for a macabre tone, some that’s more epic and fantastical in nature, and others that have used a combination of each. However, some fan art has gone for a more comical approach with their depictions of certain characters, as one artist has done with the character Ranni.

The online artist named NightmareSyrup on Twitter made fan art forElden Ringthat combines Ranni the Witch with famous American actor and filmmaker Danny DeVito. This is not the first piece of video game artwork NightmareSyrup has made as they have fan art of otherElden Ringcharacters, including Bloody Finger Hunter Yura andStarscourge Radahn. However, this most recent piece featuring Ranni and Devito might be one of their most impressive. The fusion between the two creates a character who shares elements of both individuals. The character retains Ranni’s clothing, blue skin, four arms, and eye color while also featuring DeVito’s face and smaller physique. In their post, the artist named the fused figure Ranni DeVito.
The fusion betweenRanni the Witchand Danny DeVito is a surprising one since Ranni is a more somber character, while Danny DeVito is a more comical and jovial individual in most of his works. Danny DeVito has been in numerous films over the years, includingThe War of the Rosesin 1989,Batman Returnsin 1992,Jumanji: The Next Levelin 2019, and many more. Having the two fused is certainly something that has caught people’s attention.
The reception to theElden Ringfan art was mostly positive in the comments. This extended to theElden Ringsubreddit, where most commenters found the art fusion hilarious and enjoyable since the fusion was so surprising to plenty of them. This wouldn’t be the first time that someone made fan art of Ranni that was the opposite of serious and would go for a more lighthearted approach to the character, such asfan art of Ranniwhere she was made into a rock star with a cartoonish art style. WithElden Ring’spopularity, there will likely continue to be a growing variety of fan art for Ranni the Witch and the rest of the characters in the game.
