Players will get to complete the In the Shadow of the Relic relationship quest quite late inHogwarts Legacy. Upon retrieving the relic and convincing Anne to stall Solomon, Ominis sends players a rather concerning owl telling them to come to meet him and Anne in front of the catacomb as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, the situation is dire inHogwarts Legacyas Sebastian has seemingly gone crazy with the idea of curing Anne, so he starts to use the relic recklessly. At this point, it’s the players' mission to try and snap Sebastian out of it with minimal damage. Sadly, not everything goes according to plan and a sacrifice must be made.

In The Shadow Of The Relic Quest In Hogwarts Legacy
To trigger In the Shadow of the Relic side quest, players must complete the Lodgok’s Loyalty main quest andIn the Shadow of Hope relationship quest inHogwarts Legacy. This task rewards the Avada Kedavra spell as well as 180 XP. Keep in mind that people need to be at least level 30 to experience this quest.
First, head to the world map and fast travel to the Feldcroft CatacombFloo Flame inHogwarts Legacy,then go to the marked destination; Ominis and Anne will be waiting in front of the catacomb entrance, but the latter will leave saying she can’t stay as the place is filled with Inferi. After Anne leaves, Ominis and the protagonist discuss how to enter the catacomb and stop Sebastian before he puts himself and the entire Hamlet in danger.
How To Find Sebastian In The Feldcroft Catacomb In Hogwarts Legacy
Upon entering the Feldcroft Catacomb, walk in a straight line to reach a round room filled with Inferi. Defeat them using firespells inHogwarts Legacy. Next, head east through the opening to reach “the Great Room,” as Ominis calls it. This room is filled with even more Inferi, which might take a while to defeat.
After the fight,Ominis decides to return to Hogwarts inHogwarts Legacyto twist the story so that no one gets expelled as Anne went to get Solomon due to being afraid. Apparently, Sebastian found out how to control Inferi thanks to the relic, frightening his sister in the process.
When the conversation is done, keep walking east to reach a room with a higher platform. It’s impossible to climb it without solvinga small puzzle inHogwarts Legacythat involves skeletons.
Climb the skeleton’s bridge to face Sebastian. When he starts to explain his crazy idea, Solomon appears and destroys the relic. Sebastian becomes furious with his uncle and attacks him. Players now have to defeat Solomon to proceed forward with the quest.
While fighting Solomon, players will also have to fend off a herd of Inferi. Ignore them and focus on Solomon as no matter how many Inferi are killed, they will keep respawning.
After the fight is over, Sebastian kills his uncle using the Avada Kedavra spell.Anne appears shortly after, destroys Salazar Slytherin’s Spellbook, and pushes her brother away. She approaches her uncle’s body in sorrow and disapparates out of the catacomb.

Shocked by his actions, Sebastian runs out of the catacomb and players have to follow him. Once outside, he starts mumbling to himself about how it’s his uncle’s fault as he was only trying to save Anne. Here, players have the opportunity to learn Avada Kedavra.
How To Learn Avada Kedavra In Hogwarts Legacy
To learnAvada Kedavra inHogwarts Legacy, players must choose a specific dialogue option while speaking with Sebastian outside the catacomb. While the latter is defending himself, he says that the killing curse had to be cast. Players have two options;No one should know that curseandEveryone should know that curse. Choosing the second option thenYes pleaseallow Sebastian to teach players the Avada Kedavra.

If people missed their chance, there will be another opportunity to learn all three unforgivable curses based on their choice during In the Shadow of Fate quest inHogwarts Legacy. After players make their choice, Sebastian will say that he’ll meet them later at the Undercroft as he’s not himself at the moment, ending the quest.
