Hanu’s Prison Break event inHonkai: Star Railoffers players to obtain one of four featured 4-star characters for a short period. The characters are Guinaifen, Sampo, Asta, and Yukong. Each one of these characters excels in their own team and can be important to clear content, like theSimulated Universe inHonkai: Star Rail.
It’s easy to pick a character when you’re only missing one of them, but if you don’t have two or more of them, or have them all, it’s harder to choose which character you should pick.

As a 4-starfire unit inHonkai: Star Rail, Guinaifen is amazing at applying DoT to enemies, making her a viable option in DoT team comps. Teaming her up with Black Swan or Kafka adds an extra layer of damage for both of them as they benefit from Guinaifen’s DoT and damage.
Not only is Guinaifen good at applying DoT, but she can also trigger her own and other characters’ Burn DoT when using her Ultimate. She can even trigger Black Swan’s Arcana, since it’s considered a Burn DoT after using her Ultimate. Guinaifen’s kit with the right team allows her to operate as a mini Kafka and inflict a good amount of damage.

Importance
1
When Skill is used, there is a 100% base chance to reduce the attacked target enemy’s Effect RES by 10% for 2 turn(s).

High
2
When an enemy target is being Burned, the DMG multiplier of the Burn status applied by her Basic ATK or Skill increases by 40%.

Medium

Every time the Burn status inflicted by Guinaifen causes DMG, Guinaifen regenerates 2 Energy.

As a 4-starNihility unit inHonkai: Star Rail, Sampo is one of the best DoT enablers in the game. One of Sampo’s strongest mechanics is his Talent’s ability, which allows him to apply Wind Shear on any of his attacks. This means Sampo’s Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate all have their own way of applying Wind Shear. His Basic ATK applies multiple DoT on the same target, his Skill bounces back and forth on multiple enemies and applies it randomly on one or more targets, and his Ultimate applies the Wind Shear once on all his enemies.

All he needs is to be built with more Effect Hit Rate to ensure his attacks will apply Wind Shear and Sampo will make any DoT unit’s life much easier, especially Kafka and Black Swan.
When using Skill, deals DMG for 1 extra time(s) to a random enemy.

Defeating an enemy with Wind Shear has a 100% base chance to inflict all enemies with 1 stack(s) of Wind Shear, equivalent to the Talent’s Wind Shear.
When Skill hits an enemy with 5 or more stack(s) of Wind Shear, the enemy immediately takes 8% of current Wind Shear DMG.

Asta was one of the firstHarmony units inHonkai: Star Rail. Her ability to massively increase all of her allies’ SPD and ATK% was and still is a great addition to any team in the game. She’s one of the few characters you should bring when you want to make your team swift and ensure they can get their turn more often than your opponent.
Asta can also slightly buff Fire units and apply Burn DoT, which can be helpful in DoT teams. Even for players who want to build Asta to be a damage dealer, she’s incredible at breaking enemies’ shields, which makes building her on Break Effect viable. All in all, Asta is a very versatileSupport inHonkai: Star Rail.

When using Skill, deals DMG for 1 extra time to a random enemy.
After using her Ultimate, Asta’s Charging stacks will not be reduced in the next turn.

Priority
Asta’s Energy Regeneration Rate increases by 15% when she has 2 or more Charging stacks.
Yukong is undoubtedly one of the most confusing units to use inHonkai: Star Rail. As a Harmony character, she excels at buffing her allies. However, since her buffs are insanely high, they’re balanced with some harsh conditions that make maintaining them difficult.
It’s important to understand how her kit works and what are the best ways to make the most of her buffs to be able to fully benefit from Yukong. You can also get her Eidolons as some of them slightly reduces the complexity of her kit.
At the start of battle, increases the SPD of all allies by 10% for 2 turn(s).
When any ally’s current energy is equal to its energy limit, Yukong regenerates an additional 5 energy. This effect can only be triggered once for each ally. The trigger count is reset after Yukong uses her Ultimate.
When “Roaring Bowstrings” is active, Yukong deals 30% more DMG to enemies.
Low
When Yukong uses her Ultimate, she immediately gains 1 stack(s) of “Roaring Bowstrings.”
