SinceHorizon Zero Dawnwas released in 2017, the industry, specifically a lot of first-party Sony titles, has taken a new approach to putting together cinematic-looking cutscenes by having actors on a stage together doing the motion capture themselves. It’s easy to see when looking back atZero Dawnand comparing many of its cutscenes to what’s been shown off so far ofForbiddenWestthe kind of difference in quality that Burch is referencing.
