When it first launched,Halo Infinitehad no cooperative multiplayer capabilities. This, for many fans, was an odd development considering co-op’s presence in the franchise’s previous titles. Fortunately, after seven months of waiting,Halo Infinitedeveloper 343 Industries is beginning to test a co-op campaign. The beta will be available for some players starting July 11th and, while getting into the beta isn’t exactly complicated, it also isn’t free.

TheHalo Infiniteco-op campaignwill be different from previous versions because of the open-world approach to storytelling on Zeta Halo. While there are many details that aren’t known, the co-op beta is sure to shed some light on the intricacies of the newest rendition of theHalocampaign experience.

How to Join theHalo InfiniteCo-op Beta

According to 343 Industries, theHalo Infinitemultiplayer campaign will restrict the ability of players to roam Zeta Halo. Groups will have to stay within a certain vicinity of one another, which means that theInfiniteco-op campaign will provide a different experience than the original structure. Whether this will extend to apotentialHalo InfiniteDLCor not, or if it will be a facet of the co-op campaign long-term, remains to be seen. The co-op story also allows gamers to complete campaign missions and earn progress even when they aren’t playing on someone else’s save.

TheHalo Infiniteco-op beta is not going to impact many players, but those who are looking to participate will hopefully be able to engage in a well-tailored gameplay experience. While fans needing to pay to qualify for the beta seems tedious at best,Halo Infinitemultiplayer’sfree-to-play status on the Xbox Series Xand other platforms has, perhaps, earned 343 Industries the right to restrict campaign testing. Fortunately, no matter what changes may impactInfinite’scampaign in the future, players know that the title has already delivered an exciting and detailed storytelling experience that will hopefully continue to get better and more expansive.

Halo Infiniteis available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
