These days, it’s quite common for video game sequels to have Trophies and Achievements that are similar to the ones found in their predecessors. This is once again the case withFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which has a Trophy that is unlocked in more or less the same way asFinal Fantasy 7 Remake’s Staggering Feat Trophy.
In order to unlock the Staggering Success Trophy inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, players will need to deal 300% or more damage to a staggered enemy. At first, this may seem like quite a tall order, but those who played the first part of the remake trilogy will likely be aware that there’s a fairly easy strategy for unlocking this Trophy.

How to Unlock the Staggering Success Trophy in FF7 Rebirth
To unlockFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Staggering Success Trophy, players will need three things.Tifa, an orb ofTime Materia, andan enemy with a decent amount of HP who is not immune to the effects of Stop. If players have access to them, theHermes ShoesandEnhanced Marlboro Orbaccessories can make life a little easier, but neither of these items is required for this strategy to work. In fact, if players can find an enemy with a long enough stagger period, they can unlock the Staggering Success Trophy without Time Materia, though it may be a little harder to pull off this way.
Of the three things players need,Tifawill be playable from the beginning of Chapter 2, which is also when players gain access to theTitanfight in Chadley’s Combat Simulator. They’ll need to wait a little longer to get their hands on an orb ofTime Materia, which first becomes available in Chapter 6 if players score 15,000 points onthe Pirate’s Rampage mini-game in Costa del Sol. Players can also get Time Materia from merchants from Chapter 10 onwards or by completing the Nibel Region Intel: Level 1 Combat Simulator battle, which is unlocked by battling 20 enemies in the Nibel Region.

Titan works well for this strategy because his weakness to Wind attacks makes him relatively easy to Stagger. He also has a fairly hefty amount of HP. If they do find themselves overpowered for this fight though, players canface Titan on Full Might, increase the difficulty level to Normal or Hard, or enter the fight with just one or two party members, which should decrease the chances of them killing Titan before unlocking the Staggering Success Trophy. Depending on their party’s level, players may need to do all three of these things. Alternatively, fighting other Combat Simulator Summons will also work, as too will squaring off against any of the six regional bosses.
Once players have everything that they need, they should equip one of their party with an orb of Time Materia and the Enhanced Marlboro Orb, if they have it. The regular Marlboro Orb is good too, though the strategy can work without either. They’ll then want to equip Tifa with the Hermes Shoes, which will allow her to enter the fight with Haste already applied. Again, this step isn’t really essential, as players can make this strategy work without Haste or just apply it using whoever they give the Time Materia to. In fact, there’s a good chance that the Haste granted by the Hermes Shoes will have worn off by the time players stagger the enemy anyway, so they may find themselves reapplying haste regardless.

Now that they have everything set up, players should begin the fight with Titan and hit him a few times to charge up Tifa’s ATB gauge. They’ll then want to use Unbridled Strength twice so that her Triangle attack changes to Rise and Fall, though it’s important that they don’t use it just yet. The aim here is toenter the stagger period with Rise and Fall already cued upand one or two ATB bars at the ready. Players will also need tomake sure that the party member with the Time Materia has at least one ATB bar readyfor the moment that theystagger the enemy.
As soon as the stagger period begins, players should cast Stop on Titan and then use Rise and Fall with Tifa. Immediately after doing so, they should use Unbridled Strength again and then repeat these last two steps a bunch of times. Each time they use Rise and Fall, the stagger percentage will increase by 20%, meaning they’ll need touse Rise and Fall seven times before the stagger period ends to hit 300%. Normally, this would be quite a tall order, but casting Stop on the enemy will prolong its stagger period quite a bit, giving players enough time to unlock the Staggering Success Trophy. Cait Sith (Moogle Rush) and Aerith (Ray of Judgement) also have abilities that can help to increase the stagger percentage if Tifa is having trouble doing it on her own, but this shouldn’t really be needed.
