Immortals of Aveumtells the story of Jak, a gifted magic-user, who has found himself participating in the Everwar, a seemingly eternal conflict in which each side fights for the right to control a powerful form of magic. While Jak’s primary duty is to protect his homeland by confronting his enemies on the battlefield, there’s nothing stopping him from exploring the world in search of collectibles whenever he has the time.

During Chapter 3 ofImmortals of Aveum, Jak gets taken toYltheumand is forced to navigate the forested area until he can find a way back to Lucium. Here, players can find10 Golden Chestsand1 Shroudfane, but doing so isn’t always that easy; most of the Yltheum’s collectibles are hidden in areas that can only be reached by solving a puzzle or using a specific ability that Jak may not have access to.
All Golden Chest & Shroudfane Locations In Yltheum
Though Yltheum isn’t an overly big location, it can still take time to uncover all of its secrets. It’s also pretty easy to lose one’s bearings while exploring, as most of the locations look extremely similar. To make matters worse, most of the collectibles scattered around Yltheum cannot be reached or found until later after Jak has acquired some new skills and Augments.
If players wish to find all Golden Chests and the Shroudfane, they must return when Jak has unlocked theRestore,Grapple, andWardbreakerabilities.

Starting at theYltheum Fields Portal, players should head into the northwestern corner and look through the window. Inside is ablue crystalthat, when hit with Blue Sigil Magic, will open the gate to the left. Proceeding inside the newly opened building, a Golden Chest can be found.

Fast-traveling to theWest Passage, players should head southwest and follow the path until they find a blue force field to the left. UsingWardbreaker, Jak can smash through the force field to find a Golden Chest and a Shroudfane.

Fast-traveling to theTemple of Aristeya, players should head north and then northwest until they find someCorruptionon the ground. Approaching it and using theRestoreability, a Leylodon will spawn. Once it has been defeated, the Corruption will vanish, revealing a Golden Chest.

Heading south past the portal, players should hug the wall to the right until they reach a circular doorway. To the northwest is aLash Anchorthat Jak can grapple to, allowing him access to a hidden area. The Golden Chest can be found inside.

Jumping across the ravine to the west and proceeding into the small courtyard, players should head north through the open doorway and travel up the stairs to the left. Eventually, they will be faced with a blue force field; breaking it withWardbreakerwill reveal a Golden Chest.

Traveling back to the courtyard, players should face southeast and hit the green, red, and blue glowing crystals with Sigil Magic;Green Sigil Magic works on green crystals, Blue Sigil Magic works on blue crystals, and Red Sigil Magic works on red crystals. Traveling through the door just under the red crystal, a Golden Chest can be found.

Continuing to the southwestern side of the courtyard and leaving through the door to the left, players should follow the path west while hugging the wall to the right. Eventually, Jak will reach an area he candrop down into, but before he does, players should jump to the metal walkway in front of them and look down to the east. Jak must land next to the Golden Chest when he drops, or he will not be able to reach it.

Backtracking to the area above, players mustgrapple to the Leylineand head west. When Jak is forced to let go, he will drop into a hidden area, in the center of which a Golden Chest can be found.

Using the Leyline to get back to the previous area, players should return to where they previously dropped and jump to the second metal cylinder. Turning left, they should then drop to the area below and proceed southeast along the linear path ahead. At the end, Jak will need to jump across a ravine toreach the set of stairsto the west. Climbing to the top and turning to face northwest, he canjump across the ravineto reach a Golden Chest.

Turning west and dropping to the area below, Jak can follow the path ahead to reach theYltheum Ruins Portal. From here, players should proceed south and grapple to theLash Anchorto reach the area above. Turning north and walking across the log, players should turn west and walk toward the edge of the cliff. There arethree Lash Anchorsconnected to the cliff face, and Jak can use each of them to get across to the other side. The Golden Chest is located just past the second waterfall, at the far east part of the platform.

When all the Golden Chests and Shroudfanes in Yltheum have been found, players are free to move on to the next area to continue the search for any remaining ones. TheTreasure Hunter and Shroudfane Surveyortrophies/achievements will be awarded for finding them all.
