Nintendo fans are known for creating unique fan art and that’s no different with thePokemonfranchise, which has garnered the attention of many artists that have altered existing Pokemon and created entirely new ones since the first games were released in 1996. OnePokemonfan has decided to combine Pokemon together to create three fascinating fusions that look like they’d fit into thePokemonuniverse.
Reddit user Quotedotlass posted threePokemonfusions just days ago that combine Gyarados with Corsola, Skitty with Cofagrigus, and Shedinja with Gardevoir. The Pokemon fan art fittingly look like a mix of the two Pokemon that creates a different look that may give fans an idea of what aregional variantor future evolution may look like. The frames of the Gyarados and Skitty are mostly unchanged in their fusions, while the Shedinja and Gardevoir Pokemon fan art appears like an ideal mix of the two Pokemon.

The firstPokemonfan art shared by Quotedotlass shows a Gyarados that is mostly pink and white to reflect the Corsola, while colorful coral highlights in certain parts of the Water-type Pokemon, notably along its spine and tail. Gyarados typically has whiskers near its mouth, but thisPokemonfusion trades those for horns growing out of its head, another feature taken from Corsola. The detailed Gyarados also stares at the ghost of aMagikarpwhich is included towards its mid-section and is the Pokemon’s initial form.
The playful Skitty fan art notably shows the Pokemon playing with a small ball of tattered cloth rather than yarn because of thePokemonfusion. This Skitty wears a gold and blue headdress to reflect Cofagrigus and a ghost-like arm exudes from the rear of the cat Pokemon which is smiling with wide red eyes rather than the usually squinting face. Quotedotlass' finalPokemonfan art shows a combination of Shedinja with Gardevoir, and it looks like it could be a future evolution of the former Pokemon that evolves from Nincada. The fusion takes the tall frame of Gardevoir and applies the Shedinja color scheme of shades of brown to create an angelic Pokemon.
Although the Gyarados in Quotedotlass' fan art looks like it could be a future Pokemon regional variant and the Shedinja looks like it could be a potential future evolution for the Nincada line of Pokemon, the Skitty and Cofagrigus fusion is unlikely to appear in a future game given the drastic changes made to both Pokemon to create the unique aesthetic. Some fans of Quotedotlass’Pokemonfan art have pointed out the radiance of Shedinja and Gardevoir with one suggesting thePokemonfusion resemblesMercy fromOverwatch. It’s currently unclear if any of the Pokemon focused on in QuotedotlassPokemonfan art will be included in the Pokedex of the upcoming titles.
