The GPU world is currently waiting with bated breath forIntelto release the desktop variants of its long-awaited Arc graphics card. While there’s still a bit to go until it arrives, the tech giant’s newest rivals have been releasing some new products while there’s still time left in this generation. WithAMD recently launching the RX 6400, a card which is on the more budget side of things, there are speculations that team blue may be looking to unveil something similar.

According to a report from WCCFTech, which references a post on BiliBili.com, there has been mention ofIntelpreparing a card which could match the latest low-end effort from team red. This elusive A310 could offer up similar specs to the 6400. It’s possible that this rumored GPU could have 4 GB of VRAM across a 64-bit bus, and if it turns out to be true, then this would represent the fifth model that Intel is looking to unleash in its Arc range. However, these are only rumors and nothing has been confirmed as of this article going live.

It would make sense for team blue to output more budget hardware. With the possibility ofIntel also launching a high-end Arc card, it wouldn’t be sensible for the company to only go for the enthusiast buyer, especially given how expensive the likes of the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti is, as well as the price hikes that have been occurring since the beginning of this generation when supplies were at an all-time low.

WithAMD and Nvidia prices continuing to come downbut still remaining above MSRP for now, more people are going to be interested in purchasing new hardware soon, if they haven’t done so already. As a result, a budget Arc card could be just what some gamers are after. It may not be able to take on the might of the RX 6900 or any of team green’s high-end products, but it means Intel can cover all areas of the market.

However, it seems as though things are being left late. With theArc desktop GPUs coming this summer, with rumors of another delay, as well as the two other titans now moving forward, the next era of GPU tech is fast approaching.Intelwill need to move quickly in order to get its graphics cards out before the end of this generation, otherwise it may struggle to keep up with AMD and Nvidia’s future offerings.
