Bloober Studios' third installment in theLayers of Fearseries is a beautifully grotesque amalgamation of a sequel and a remake, combining all the previous games and DLC into a frame story written by the series newest protagonist, The Writer. Across the multiple stories that unfold throughLayers of Fear (2023), players will have the opportunity to hunt down 52 achievements, rewarding completionists with 1000 Gamerscore on Xbox or a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation. This guide will cover all unlockable challenges and what tasks players should keep in their mind as they make their way through each story.
Layers of Fear Achievements and Trophies
While none of the achievements inLayers of Fear (2023)are secret achievements/trophies,the 52 total achievements in the gamewill give players plenty of secondary tasks to keep track of. There are four achievements/trophies that players can complete in the games' outside frame story, while the remaining 48 are split up through the other stories that unfold throughout the game.

The Writer’s Story Achievements
The four objectives that players will complete during the Writer’s Story include the game’s ultimate achievement, rewarded for unlocking all other achievements/trophies, the achievement for completing the Writer’s Story, as well as the first two achievements most players of the game will unlock for collecting their first narrative writing or story item.

The Painter’s Story Achievements/Trophies
The Painter’s story has 14 specific achievements unlockable through its chapters, most of which will complete naturally by progressing through the story. Additionally,the Wanderer achievement willtypically complete during this segment of the game, so it has been included in the list below.

The Actor’s Story Achievements/Trophies
The longest sub story in the game, the Actor’s Story, contains the largest portion of the games achievements with 18 total. There are some trophies that will complete naturally as players progress through the story; however, unlike the Painter’s Story, players will have to be more purposeful in searching for collectibles and interactive items. Keep in mind the Actor can crouch to get through airvents and other tight spaces, anduse the flashlight on all mannequinsto find secrets paths or keys.

The Daughter’s Story Achievements/Trophies
One of the shorter sub-stories, the Daughter’s Story has only seven achievements.
