For now, all fans have is this latest leak, which was spotted by PCGamesN and some users over on Reddit. According to SteamDB, a third-party website that tracks all things related to Steam, a new update shows thatStarfieldcould be dropping on May 24, 2025. Once again, it should be reiterated that this has not been confirmed, and in fact the listing says this date “could be wrong.” This may be a placeholder date, as the late period of the year is usually when Bethesda launches games, or it could simply hint that the studio is getting ready to make an announcement soon. Originally due to launch next month,Bethesda delayedStarfieldandRedfall, which is being developed byDishonoredstudio Arkane, citing the desire to create the “most polished versions” of each game. Currently, the official launch window for the former is the first part of 2023, possibly Q1 or Q2.

IfStarfielddoes get delayed by a few more months, no doubt many people will be disappointed, especially as this could push development back for other Bethesda projects. WithThe Elder Scrolls 6said to be in pre-productionandFallout 5having been announced recently, it’s likely these future offerings could take even longer to see the light of day, and the next entry in theElder Scrollsseries has already been anticipated for several years now.
