According to the user, both are being sold for just $88 each, so are definitely more affordable ways to get into gaming. Both the Xbox 360 andPlayStation 3 have an incredible library of exclusives, and for $88 it would be a no-brainer for any gamer to pick up, especially if the games are also available at a similarly discounted rate. While many of the older exclusives on both are now available on PC, the cost of entry can simply be too high for many, and it’s important that gaming is accessible to as many as possible.

It’s not a massive surprise to see these older consoles still being sold at volume. In some countries due to the high cost of next-gen gaming, plenty of patient gamers are still gaming on older consoles. Some developers even cater to this market, with many mainstream titles coming to previous-gen consoles long after most have abandoned them. ThepopularFIFAfranchiseis a perfect example of this. The lastFIFAgame released on PlayStation 3 wasFIFA 19, andFIFA 14was even released on PlayStation 2, 14 years after the console’s initial release.

While nostalgia for both consoles will always remain a powerful thing, it’s also important to remember the enormous leaps of progress made in the gaming industry since then. With each passing year, full exclusives are becoming more of a thing of the past, making the best titles more accessible to a wider audience of gamers. As well as this, subscription services such as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plushave made playing a wide selection of titles a much more affordable venture. With more titles than ever being released onto the market, there has never been a better time to be a gamer.
