After flying over the expansive plains of the Paldea region for a while, the player drops out of the sky on Miraidon and happens to land right on top of a shiny Eevee. Usually, players have around about a 1 in 4000 chance of encountering a shiny Pokemon, though these odds are halved if the player has unlocked the shiny charm. Players can further reduce the odds of a shiny spawn by utilizingScarlet and Violet’s mass outbreaksand shiny sandwiches.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violethas also introduced a wide variety of new Pokemonto the ecosystem of the Paldea region, each with their own unique shiny appearances for players to discover.
