How to Catch Boos in Luigi’s Mansion 2
In order to hunt down Boos inLuigi’s Mansion 2, players will first have toacquire the Dark-Light Device in A-4: Visual Tricks. This device makes it possible to see hidden objects, release trapped objects, and track and find Boos.
To find a Boo, gamers must first scan their surroundings with the Dark-Light Device. Upon scanning hidden furniture, Spirit Balls will appear around the room; gamers can capture them to make the furniture reappear. If there is a Boo trapped in the hidden item, it will show itself once the object is recovered.

The Boo will then attempt to disappear right away, but gamers can find it by shining Dark-Light near their surroundings and following its silhouette. Once they’ve tracked down its exact location, the Dark-Light Device will force it to reappear and stay still, giving players a chance to grab it by the tongue and then release it so it hits the surroundings, damaging itself.
Repeat this process until the Boo’s health reaches zero, and then use the Poltergust 5000’s suction function to safely capture it. Here is a video demonstrating how to capture a Boo inLuigi’s Mansion 2:
