Now that fans are aware of which four characters will be made available inMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ Season Pass DLC, a number of implications have been suggested. The game’s Legendary Edition will give players access to these post-launch DLCs as four individual packs with Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm included. All four of these characters are exciting additions, but Venom had already been revealed as one ofMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ antagonist characters. Knowing this, Venom’s inclusion as a playable DLC character nods back to the game’s final unlockable character.
Indeed,Marvel’s Midnight Sunsfeatures a final base roster character that fans only unlock once they have beat the game’s narrative campaign. This character is also being kept secret until then, making it a race to the finish to see who the final unlockable character will be whenMarvel’s Midnight Sunsreleases in a month. There have been references to other Marvel characters found in-game that fans think may allude to who it is, but the confirmation of Venom as playable DLC could lend credence to one iconic Marvel character’s potential leak being true.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ Final Unlockable Character Might Have Previously Been Leaked
InMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ Scarlet Witch gameplay showcase, two split-second shots reveal the Hulk. Hulk was already confirmed as an antagonist character who is corrupted by Lilith, with players set to battle him at some point in the game.
But this Hulk was featured with an ordinary or default design, as starkly compared to the corrupt Fallen design that the Hulk has been seen adorning thus far. Hulk was depicted in a white, black, and gold costume, which is further indicative ofMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ playable characters, and supports the theory that he will be the game’s final playable character. Still, nothing has been confirmed, and it is not concretely clear that the Hulk is the final playable character with complete certainty.

It is possible that the Hulk is rehabilitated from Lilith’s corruption but not playable, as well as a bunch of other excuses for why he may not be added to the roster. But in the event that he is,Venom’s inclusion in the game’s post-launch DLCdetermines how the Hulk could make that switch from antagonist to playable character.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ Venom DLC May Narrow Down Its Final Unlockable Character
Scarlet Witch and Venom are both scheduled to make a swap from antagonist to playable character inMarvel’s Midnight Suns. Therefore, it would not be surprising to see the Hulk make an identical transition. The Hulk is obviously extremely powerful and would be appropriate for the game’s final unlockable character spot, though he is likely not who many fans would have anticipated or preferred.
Many fans hope that Moon Knight or Daredevil can still fill that base game roster slot instead, but it also makes sense from a design standpoint to use the Hulk at this point. The Hulk already has an established character model and animations, just as Scarlet Witch and Venom do, and it would seemingly be simpler to adapt him as a playable character than creating an entirely new character from the ground-up.
The Hulk could be an incredibly satisfying character to have in players’Marvel’s Midnight Sunsteams, and it would be interesting to converse with him as either Bruce Banner or the Hulk at the Abbey. The pieces line up to make the Hulk a wonderful unlockable character, but only time will tell if he iswho Firaxis has chosen to reward players’ completion ofMarvel’s Midnight Suns.
Marvel’s Midnight Sunslaunches December 2 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions coming later.
