10Silver Surfer

As the essential “spokesperson” for 3-Cost cards, Silver Surfer is one of the most sought-after Pool 3 characters in all ofMarvel Snap. Silver Surfer may only withhold 2 Power to provide onto a location, but it is his On Reveal ability that garners even more Power by supporting his allies.

When played, Silver Surfer’s power activates, and he gives +2 Power to each other friendly 3-Cost card on the board. When paired with synergistic cards like Wong and Odin, Silver Surfer can dominate the table, easily taking a meta victory.

Magik’s card

9Magik

Magik used to be a poorly used card inMarvel Snapasa 5-Cost card, but after receiving a buff, Magik is now a 3-Cost card for players to utilize in their decks. Magik only has 2 Power, but her On Reveal ability allows her to turn a location into Limbo.

Limbo simply states that there is a 7th Turn in this match. Magik is a strategic character that can help players form their plays with an extra round to use. In many decks that aren’t considered near ‘value,’ Magik is an essential component in ensuring that the deck is meta and efficient.

8Spider-Man

Like Magik,Spider-Man has also receiveda buff before maintaining his status as a poor4-Cost cardwith an alright controlling ability. Fortunately, Spider-Man is now a 3-Cost card with 5 Power, which already makes him a card of exceptional value and Power.

Spider-Man also has the movement-themed On Reveal ability to move to another location after being played, and also bring along an enemy card with him. This ability can be used stealthily to interfere with opposing plans and to benefit from other cards that require movement, such as Miles Morales.

Loki’s card marvel snap

7Loki

Loki, having been introduced as September 2023’s featured card within the Loki For All Time Season Pass, is one of the most unique cards inMarvel Snap. With that fact being exceptionally true within the 3-Cost card filter, Loki is a one-of-a-kind character with the most brilliant ability.

When played, Loki replaces the player’s hand with the cards from the opponent’s starting hand while also giving them -1 Cost. This magnificent ability can mess with the opposing player’s mind, as well as support an unusual method in securing victory inMarvel Snap. Loki also has 5 Power to throw onto a location, making him one of the stronger 3-Cost cards.

Venom’s card

6Venom

SinceMarvel Snap’sofficial release, Venom has maintained his position as not only one of the best 3-Cost cards in the game but as one of the best destruction-based cards that players can use in respective decks. Venom has an equal 3 Power to his Energy Cost of 3, which averages him out in the realm ofMarvel Snapcards.

But, his On Reveal ability, which allows him to destroy all friendly cards at his location and add their Power to Venom’s, supports Venom’s potential to become the largest powerhouse on the virtual table. With enough setting up, Venom can destroy up to three other cards and gain a massive amount of Power.

5Lockjaw

Lockjaw isn’t particularly outstanding within decks in general, but when paired up with synergistic cards that make use of Lockjaw’s unique ability, this card’s meta potential truly reveals itself. Lockjaw has 2 Power and the ability to swap a friendly card (when it is played at Lockjaw’s location) with another card in the player’s deck.

While this ability can only be activated once per turn, cards like the Infinity Stones, Wasp, and others shine wonderfully with Lockjaw. With that, ‘Bounce’ decks have become some of the most popular inMarvel Snap’smeta with Lockjaw standing as the decks' primary feature.

4Jean Grey

After the Rise of the Phoenix Force Season Pass (July 2023) brought forth many new cards for players to combine into 12-card decks, Jean Grey has been thrown around as one of the most remarkable additions toMarvel Snap. As one of thebest Pool 5 cards,Jean Grey has the Ongoing ability that forces each player to play their first card at her location each turn (so long as it is possible).

With 3 Power as well, Jean Grey enforces panic in the opponent with a devastating mechanic in theMarvel Snapmatch. Although it may affect the player as well, synergies throughoutMarvel Snapwith Jean Grey can weave this ability into a beautiful structure of victory, especially with Guardians of the Galaxy cards.

3Daken

Daken was added toMarvel Snap’scollection along with the Big In Japan (August 2023) Season Pass. Daken is a 3-Cost card with a good amount of 4 Power. While fairly constitutional on his own, Daken also brings an extraordinary ability toMarvel Snapthat enriches destruction and discard-themed decks.

When played, Daken adds the Muramasa Shard card into the player’s hand. Muramasa Shard costs 1 Energy and has 1 Power, but players will want to focus on the card’s ability, which states that if Muramasa Shard is destroyed or discarded, double Daken’s Power. Essentially, getting rid of Muramasa Shard somehow will grant Daken the boost to 8 Power.

2Cosmo

Since the beginning ofMarvel Snap’stime, interference cards have been someof the most infamous in the game; not infamous for being ‘bad,’ but infamous for throwing players off their game and disrupting their gameplay. Cosmo is one such card, which withholds the Ongoing ability that stops On Reveal abilities from activating at Cosmo’s location.

For cards like Odin, Wong, and Shang-Chi, Cosmo is a great counter, as Cosmo stops them from benefiting from such cards at all. Utilizing Cosmo can grant players proficiency in disregarding what the opponent is setting up, so long as they seem to be primarily using On Reveal cards. Cosmo also has 3 Power, which can help boost a location’s total Power into the player’s hands.

1Thor

Thor, being such a powerfulMarvelhero and Asgardian god as he is, has the capability of unleashing incredible amounts of Power onto one location.Thor is already considerably efficientwith 4 Power, yet his On Reveal ability grants the Mjolnir card to be shuffled into the player’s deck. This is notable because if players were to play Mjolnir, which costs 0 Energy and has 0 Power, it has the On Reveal ability to give Thor +6 Power.

With one activation, Thor is instantly a 10-Power card, which is beyond eminent. it is with cards like Wong and Odin that Thor truly shines, as they allow for On Reveal abilities to happen multiple times. With this combination, Thor can reach heights that bring him to 20, 30, or even 50 Power.
