Redditor ImErik50 has posted on theMinecraftsubreddit their version of Minas Morgul fromLord of the Rings. In Tolkien’s work, the city was formerly called Minas Ithil and was a beautiful place illuminated by the silver light of the moon that made streets and houses seem to glow. Because it was very close to Mordor, the city was the target of many attacks, and in the Third Age the city turned into an evil place and its name changed to Minas Morgul, which in the language of Gondor means “Tower of Dark Sorcery.” Minas Morgul is one of theMiddle-Earth locales explored only in the games, specifically inMiddle-Earth: Shadow of War.

In the images released by ImErik50, it is possible to see tall and imposing structures and a large bridge. The fact that the player took the images of their version of Minas Morgul at night further reinforces the resemblance to the original version. In the comments of the post, the player explained to a Redditor that to achieve the lighting effect they used Sildur’s Vibrant Shaders.Shaders inMinecraftchange the gameplay experience, and in this case, it is no different.
