Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s1.10 and 1.11 patches were released on December 3 and December 4, respectively, but fans have already taken to Reddit to voice their concerns. Although the update has only been out for a short time, fans have already started to notice changes to the game that were not detailed on theofficial patch notes.

WhileModern Warfarereleased on Jun 05, 2025, the 1.10 patch signaled the official start toModern Warfare’sSeason One. The start of the first season added new maps and modes to the multiplayer but also removed Shoot House 24/7, 2v2 Gunfight Tournament, as well as fan-favorite mode, Gun Game. The initial update Infinity Ward released was followed by the 1.11 update that was intended to improve the game’s stability

After the release of both patches, fans started a thread on Reddit to discuss what was seemingly left off of the patch notes by Infinity Ward. The many changes fans have claimed were made, but not mentioned in the official patch notes, include adjustments to map playlists and weapons, as well as increasing the amount of XP needed to rank up. Many fans over on the Reddit post seem to be displeased with Infinity Ward’s lack of communication; however, these changes have not officially been detailed and are still considered speculation.

If these notes are accurate, it’s unclear why Infinity Ward didn’t detail them; however, the company has outlined that it will be updating the game weekly over the next two months, so future patch notes may be more in-depth. The company has already stated that it will beadding new modes, maps, Operation missions, and additional content into the game in future updates. For fans unhappy with the current update, Infinity Ward could use one of the weekly updates to address the changes players have noticed.

Also added in with the new update is the highly anticipated Battle pass. Players can nowbuy the Battle Passthat will allow them to work through 100 tiers to unlock cosmetic items. This is the first time theCall of Dutyfranchise has opted out of loot boxes, in favor of the Battle Pass system. Gaining access to the Battle Pass will cost players 1000 COD Points but for players unsure of the purchase, the first 20 tiers are free to play through.
