Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis a game with no shortage of opportunities for players toabsolutely dunk on their opponents, but when it comes to power moves, nothing compares to dropping a nuke on the battlefield and securing an instant win, no matter how far ahead the enemy team is. That kind of unstoppable power is naturally hard to come by, which makes it doubly impressive when someone manages to unleash it in record time.
To this day, one of the greatest feats a player can pull off inModern Warfareisgetting the 30-player kill-streak needed to unlock the nuke. Doing that without dying in a game as hectic as this one is an impressive feat by itself, but in the months since it came out, the race has been on to top that by seeing how fast players can do it. Plenty of records have been made and broken so far, with the newest one coming courtesy of YouTuber TheGamingDefinition this week.

In a video clip shared online, he showed off an insane streak that granted him access to the tactical nuke in just 1 minute 43 seconds. That may not sound that impressive considering other players have managed to get a nuke in under a minute, but what makes this stand out is the fact that TGD pulled this off playing in Ground War, and without relying on theexploits that are usually used to score quick nukeson the mode’s larger maps.
What follows is an impressive feat of skill and luck as TGD happens upon the required 30 opponents in rapid succession and manages to outplay them all. In a Reddit post, he attributed it to the fact that his team was getting crushed by the enemy team, compelling him to go “full meta slave” and switch to theMP5for “one last-ditch attempt at salvation.” This results in him using the nuke to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat twice over, as the enemy team was not only a few kills away from victory, but seconds away from activating the match-ending DEFCON Nuke that drops when a team controls all of the objectives in Ground War.
All in all, TGD’s performance makes for one of the most memorable nuke playsCall of Duty: Modern Warfarehas seen yet. The players on the receiving end of it would probably disagree, though, and a few replies in the Reddit post joked about how those players were likely reporting him for cheating, leading TGD to quip, “I’m remaining hopeful that I won’t be falsely banned!”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
