My Hero Academia continued this week without any break and fans were very excited to see the series tacklethe fight between All Might and All For One.The chapter also threw some focus on Aoyama, who fans have seen very little of over the course of the last few months. Nonetheless, this week’s chapter was certainly very intense, both for All Might and Aoyama.

My Hero Academiachapter 399 didn’t feature as much ofthe fight between All Might and All For Oneas fans would have hoped, however, whatever little fans got to see was certainly very exhilarating. With the fight now drawing closer to an end, it is only a matter of time before a winner emerges here. Fans are on the edge of their seats to see who comes out on top in this clash of Titans.
All Might’s New Abilities
Towards the end of the last chapter, fans got to see All Might bring out more of his incredible powers in order to combat against All For One. He needed more mobility, speed, as well as power to deal with the Demon Lord and, for that, he brought out the power of Ingenium, as well as Uravity Buster in the previous chapter. In this chapter, fans saw him make use of Froppy’s suction cups to travel through buildings and, at the same time, bring out Shoto Cannon, which most likely shoots a powerful blast of flames. All Might decided to go on the offensive after a more reserved showing in the previous chapter.
Another ability that he made use of was Tailman, and fans already know that this ability was inspired by Ojiro’s powerful Tail. All For One’s Overwhelming Power
While All Might brought out quite an array of weapons in the fight against All For One,My Hero Academiachapter 399 saw to it that All For One didn’t just sit back and watch him take control of the battle. All For One is quite a smart person and he immediately realized that All Might was trying to get himto rewind his Quirks to a point where he wouldn’t even exist, in a sense. As a result, All For One resolved to not using his full powers against All Might, which would, in turn, prevent him from using Rewind so much and, at the same time, also crush the resolve of All Might.
Above all, All For One wanted to highlight the fact that All Might was insignificant and that he would never need his full strength to crush someone like him. With that said, All For One clearly didn’t stick to his words as he brought out some of his most dangerous abilities to use against him and, much to the surprise of the fans, the latter dealt with them very well. My Hero Academia 399 made sure to highlight the overwhelming power that All For One had under his belt. Even without going all out, he could put the fear of God in nearly every Hero in the world.

His assault got even more serious when he managed to damage All Might’s armor and also landed a powerful punch on him. While dealing physical damage for All For One is certainly quite easy, he visibly failed at breaking down All Might’s resolve, which is something that really frustrated him. Even after showcasing the significant difference in strength between himself and the Symbol of Peace, the latter did not break and explained to him that even if he died, someone else would pick up his remnants and carry on.
Aoyama’s Attack
My Hero Academiachapter 399 took a very surprising turn when fans got a look at Aoyama after a very, very long time. Readers finally got a glimpse of the battlefield around Aoyama, and it was quite clear to see that every single Hero in that unit had already been defeated. These included some very strong Heroes, such as Fat Gum and even Aoyama himself. Kunieda had disposed of the vast majority of them using her powerful seeds which she could sprout from flesh and prevent people from using their abilities to the fullest. As a result, the likes of Fat Gum could not use their powers properly and even Aoyama well largely hindered.
Fans immediately knew that the story would now focus on Aoyama and give him his big moment, just like every other student in class 1A has received over the course of the last few chapters. Now, it was his time to shine and that was certainly handled very well in this chapter. Although not the most exciting of fights,My Hero Academiachapter 399 gave Aoyama his moment as he managed to use his navel laser without his belt properly and, thanks to Hagakure’s help, refracted it onto Kunieda, shining brightly in the process. Fans were expecting him to make his mark on the big fight and he certainly did just that in this chapter.
All Might Strikes Back
After extensively covering the fight between Aoyama and Kunieda,My Hero Academiachapter 399 turned back to All For One’s fight against All Might and, given that this is the grand stage, it was beautifully interwoven with Aoyama’s story. All Might’s monologue about Heroes was capped off with a powerful attack from the sky, which he launched thanks to his bird-like weapon, called Anima. This attack appears to be inspired by Aoyama himself as it was clearly a massive shot of laser that was fired down from the skies.
As All Might used Shoto Cannonto launch a powerful blast directly into the mouth of All For One, this laser shot him from the sky, dealing a great deal of damage to him. All Might then went on to exclaim that even though he has been dominated in this fight, he still doesn’t believe that he will lose. Even though he doesn’t have a Quirk, he is still shining incredibly bright and that is certainly touching for the fans to read. This is his moment and his big farewell. This is his last dance and All Might will live it to the fullest.
Regardless of how strong All For One is, All Might is here to save the day one last time before hanging up his boots forever and that certainly proved to be very touching in this chapter. From here onwards, the fight will likely head towards the climax as All Might is running out of powers to utilize and All For One is most likely short on time as well.
