Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniahas just dropped its final trailer. The action-packed teaser promises Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) most difficult adventure yet - and showcases his relationship with daughter, Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton).
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniais the third film in theAnt-Manfranchise. The films are usually structured as superhero-film-meets-heist-genre, but this time around, Ant-Man appears to be facing a new kind of threat inKang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), who may just be a bigger threat than Thanos. A large portion of the film will explore the Quantum Realm, a mysterious dimension where the normal laws of physics do not apply.

The film showcases a rift between Scott and Cassie, who has grown five years during the Blip. Scott was unfortunately lost in the Quantum Realm during that time, and missed out on seeing Cassie grow up - he still sees her as a little girl, but Cassie’s pretty much an adult by now. Interestingly, Scott appears to team up with Kang, who promises to fix the time Scott has lost out on. But things aren’t as they appear, and soon Scott must stop Kang - even if it means he loses, too.
A new poster also dropped onMarvel Studios' Twitteraccount. The poster sees Scott Lang front and center, as he’s flanked by the other members of his family (including Cassie, who’s seen sporting a superhero suit that she also dons in the trailer). Kang looks foreboding in the background of the poster.
Director Peyton Reed promised a more epicAnt-Manfilm withQuantumania, and it looks like he’s delivering on that promise. The trailer features plenty of sticky scenarios for theAnt-Manfamily to get out of, and it looks like they’re in more danger than they have ever been in. Several shots in the trailer show off Kang’s power, and Scott can do little to resist him. There’s also a shot of MODOK, who will doubtless terrorize the family.
The film will also feature the first look atKang outside of theLokitv show. There, Kang revealed he had many variants that would war with one another - and the opening of the multiverse has now drawn them all to battle. The Kang inQuantumaniaappears scarred, so it’s possible he’s already faced another one of his variants. And it looks like the multiverse will also be playing a part in the movie: there are a few shots where Scott Lang is duplicated, and it’s possible these are variants of him.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniais out in theaters on February 17.
