At this time,Dragon Ball FighterZis in its third season and plans on releasing five new characters before the season ends. Of these five characters, Bandai Namco announced two at the same time:Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku.

However, while Kefla immediately had her release date revealed,Ultra Instinctdid not. Most believed that he would arrive on May 9 — Goku Day — but that ended up debunked some time ago. The consensus still felt May’s timeframe to be correct, though.

Two months after Kefla’s launch and Bandai Namco’s latest trailer finally reveals Ultra Instinct Goku’s release date. Players will be able to get their hands on the character starting July 06, 2025, confirming suspicions for a May release. Anyone that owns theDragon Ball FighterZSeason 3 Passcan obtain him on June 04, 2025.

These dates apply to all the systemsDragon Ball FighterZis available on, meaning PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch used to get DLC characters a day earlier than the others, but Bandai fixed that with this third season.

The trailer delivers more than justUltra Instinct Goku’s release date, though. It displays a much more revealing showcase of the character’s moves and abilities than anything Bandai has previously released. Viewers will get a look at Ultra Instinct’s Level 3 Super at the 0:44 second mark, and even his win screen animation at 0:55 seconds. Players may recognize some of the moves Ultra Instinct uses from past promotions as well.

Sadly, this trailer hasGoku fighting Universe 11’s Jiren, so it doesn’t show off his Dramatic Finish with Kefla. A V-Jump promotion did confirm that he has one with her, though. It plays out the infamous scene where Goku uses his Kamehameha to grind on and avoid Kefla’s strongest technique. Goku does have a Dramatic Finish with Jiren, but, sadly, it’s with his Super Saiyan form, and it requires Frieza to be on the team to work.

The trailer doesn’t give any indication as to who the last threeFighterZof the season will be; they’re still blank slates by the end. There’s also no word on when Bandai will reveal them to the public. Since the season’s theme seems to be Tournament of Power characters, however, the last three could be Royal Blue Vegeta and God of Destruction Toppo, with the third spot for either Dyspo or Master Roshi.

Dragon Ball FighterZis out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
