It’s been several months since Lady Dimitrescu was unveiled to the gaming world, and just over a week sinceResident Evil Villagewas launched, and fans still have not grown tired of her yet. Recently, someone replaced Jill’s character model inResident Evil 3 Remakewith Dimitrescu, and now that same person has ported her over toResident Evil 2 Remake.
Uploading the mod just a few days ago, user Raq says the mod essentially replaces Claire Redfield’s and Elza Walker’s character models and clothing with Dimitrescu’s own outfit. They’ve also added “cloth physics” to her dress. Similar to theRE3mod, this one shrinks her down to the sizes ofResident Evil 2 Remake’soriginal characters, which means players won’t get to play as the 9ft figure, but it will still feel as though fans are in control of her.

Given her stature, some have asked on the mod page whether there may be the potential for her to replaceRE’s Mr X at some point. Given that bothLady Dimitrescu and Mr. Xfunction in similar ways in their respective games, an add-on which replaces the latter’s model with the formers is arguably something the fan base at large would love to see. Although it may seem a little pointless when fans who want to be chased by the matriarchal figure can already do so inVillage.
This is also not the first time a mod forResident Evil 2 Remakehas allowed players to take control of someone outside theREuniverse. Back in January 2020, a modder created a way for fans toplay asGeralt fromThe Witcherseries. The modding community is constantly hard at work devising new ways to mix game universes, so it remains to be seen what other ways such talented people will bring franchises together or intentionally mess withRE’s canon in hilarious ways.
WithVillagebeing one of the most talked about games at the moment, and for good reason as well, it’s arguably the inclusion of the 9ft voluptuous villain that is partly responsible for so much hype around the game prior to release. Such reverence of her has even expanded beyond gaming. Recently,Lady Dimitrescu appeared in a Domino’s Pizza ad. Despite her role as a villain and a threat, it seems fans are more enamored with her than scared, and if thisRE2Remake, and theRE3one as well, proves anything, it’s that people are also keen to step in her shoes as well be stepped on by them.
Resident Evil Villageis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
