Atlus has recently updated a domain for a possiblePersona 5spin-off, which is a likely indicator that the next related project in the franchise could officially be unveiled soon. Atlus has been producing a lot ofspin-off titles and projects related toPersona 5, much like it did to its prior titlePersona 4. This has seen multiple collaborations with mobile games, a re-release in the form ofPersona 5 Royal, and more. This year even saw a mobile/PC exclusive title by Black Wings and Perfect World Games known asPersona 5: The Phantom Xannounced, though it is currently exclusive to China. Yet another game in the franchise could be announced very soon, thanks to a recent update.Earlier near the end of May,Atlus registered a possible domain name relatedPersona 5, this being “P5T.JP,” which lines up with similar past projects that Atlus have produced. This was first registered on June 04, 2025, though currently the site is inactive and leads to an ‘HTTP 404 Not Found’ error message. In short, the website has been moved from the Japanese domain registrar nameservers (also known as Onamae) to Atlus' own nameservers. Whenever these changes are made in the nameservers, this usually indicates that a game will be officially announced very soon, with past reveals having happened almost within two weeks of these updates.
Previous examples includePersona Q2’s domain being moved to Atlus' nameservers, with the game’s official announcement happening almost a week later at aPersonamusic concert. Other games likePersona 5 RoyalandPersona 5 Strikerswere teased shortly after their nameservers were changed. There are a couple of upcoming events that would be a possible platform for Atlus to unveilwhat this P5T project is. The first is Summer Game Fest 2023, which will take place less than a week from now, on June 8. There is also the Xbox Games Showcase a few days later on June 11.
Asides from being a brand-new spin-off game in the franchise, it could also possibly be related to the aforementionedPersona 5: The Phantom Xmobile spin-off. One theory posits that sinceP5Xdoesn’t have its own domain yet, this one could be for its possible international title, withPersona 5 Tacticsbeing thrown around as one that could be used if the game makes it out of China. That said, this is all still speculation and rumors, so fans should take it with a grain of salt until this possiblePersona 5-related spin-off is shown.
