TheNintendo Switch Onlineservice has added seven NES games to the service, with one previously being a Japan-only title. These games are some of the last remaining titles from the NES' library that have yet to be added to theNintendo Switch Onlineservice. The seven games includeUrban Champion,Golf,Cobra Triangle,Solar Jetman,Mach Rider,Donkey Kong Jr. Math, andThe Mystery of Atlantis, which is also being brought to the West for the very first time through Nintendo Switch Online.

A new trailer from Nintendo reveals that these seven games have been added to the service and are available to play right now. These games are a mixture of first-party and third-party developed classics. One first-party title isGolf, and it was one of the best-selling sports games on the system. TheNintendo Switch had a hidden version ofGolfthat was playable as an Easter Eggas a tribute to the late Satoru Iwata, as he programmed the game.Mach Rideris a game that was developed by Hal Laboratory and published by Nintendo, which has the player controlling a biker as they fight off the forces of evil and save people.Urban Championwas also included, and is notable for being one of the first fighting games on the system.

The other games included in this update are rather relatively obscuretitles that were developed by Rare, before the company became famous for games likeBattletoadsandDonkey Kong Country. These would beCobra Triangle, an action racing game where the player controls a speedboat equipped with weapons to complete 25 levels, andSolar Jetman, where the player maneuvers around space in a small spaceship.

Sunsoft’sThe Mystery Of Atlantishas also been released in the West for the first time. In this game, the player controls an adventurer who travels through 101 levels to save his master who has been trapped in the titular city. The game that surprised a lot of fans wasDonkey Kong Jr. Math,an edutainment game in theDonkey Kongseriesthat was panned critically by reviewers. WithDK Jr. Math’s addition, some joked that Nintendo is finally running out of NES games to re-release if Nintendo is adding this game to the service.
