Nioh 2was highly anticipated by fans and the game delivered a greater amount of content alongside the previous games acclaimed fighting mechanics. As a result,Nioh 2was a critical successand it seems that plenty of newcomers have been swayed by the reputation of the title. Many players may have found themselves leaving the title after finishing its story, but fortunately for fans who are hungry for more, there is a lot of DLC on the way.
While many havecomparedNioh 2toDark Souls, the game offers more hack and slash elements and also a more cohesive story. The title also has a co-op mode which is expansive and perhaps most importantly,Nioh 2is large in terms of the depth in the world and playtime. Despite the size of the game, there seem to be plenty more features and narrative weight arriving in July.

In a statement the Creative Director of Team Ninja, the developer onNioh 2, Tom Lee explained the upcoming features and content. After thanking fans for their support of the title, Lee detailed " 9 new missions (Sub-missions / Twilight missions) as part of this update" as well as a new photo mode with edition options. Lee also highlighted that there was a great deal of content to come.
In July players will begin receiving the first of “3 sizable & badass DLC batches” the rest of the DLC content will be delivered of the course of “several months.” The DLC content is promising new bosses, storylines, new skills, and new weapons. The size of these upcoming DLC’s seems to promise a whole new experience for players who have completed the main story. The first DLC will be released on July 30 with the title “The Tengu’s Disciple” and it sets up a new story.
The story will focus on a huge battle during the “late Heian period.” The DLC will then focus on a mysterious whistle and “heroes wielding the Sohayamaru will head into battle to restore peace back into this land” whenever a war occurs. This will excite fans and alongside steps forward through updates,Nioh 2may be greatly improved, despite being a well-received title already.
There is plenty to be found inNioh 2and many players will return to the title before the DLC adds even more content to an already sizable game. Fans of the game will be thrilled that the game is getting extensive support, and many will look forward to having a new story to experience.
