Updated July 16, 2025, by Hayden Epstein:Having initially only been available on PC and Xbox, Nobody Saves the World can now also be played on both PlayStation and Switch. As well as a few major updates like the addition of a local couch co-op mode, these new ports bring with them a lot of minor tweaks and changes, some of which can have a direct impact on the way that the game is played. With this in mind, this guide has been updated to provide a better idea ofthe best forms to transform into in Nobody Saves the World.

10Slug
The Slug is an early form that players can unlock after leveling up their Ranger form to Rank C. While the Slug might not seem like the most powerful form at first, it quickly proves its worth in both support and offensive capacities. It boasts a potent, passive perk, Slug’s Secret, that increases damage against enemies afflicted with a status effect, andits Tear Burst basic attack is essentially a Gatling gun that restores manaat a staggering rate.
While the Slug does have low health anddefense similar to the Rat form, it makes up for its weaknesses by offering a range of powerful customization combos that can clear a room of enemies in a matter of seconds. Players canpair Slug’s Secret with Dragon’s Dreadto have a form with increased critical chance and damage against status-afflicted enemies. They can then add in the Crit Cleric perk to turn the Slug into a self-healing damage machine.

9Turtle
The Turtle form is a surprising powerhouse of a form and one that comes withsome of the game’s best abilities. Its standard attack, Hell Shell, is one of the most useful Blunt-style abilities, as it can be used to dish out tons of damage to groups of enemies and open up previously unavailable escape routes.
The best utility the Turtle has, though, comes from its passive perk, Quick Charge, which reduces the charge time for any attack that has a build-up period. Attacks like the Slug’s Blob Lob and the Dragon’s Fireball benefit greatly from this perk, and having a kit of quick-charging, hard-hitting attacks can turn the Turtle into a veritable wrecking shell.

8Horse
The Horse form is one ofNobody Saves The World’s most innovative character classes, transforming the titular hero into a literal horse. Its standard attack, Kick Back, is a swift kick with its hind legs, meaning it only deals damage when facing away from the targeted enemy. The Horse’s passive perk,Horse Power, also provides increased mana recovery when destroying environmental objects, which is perfect for dungeons that restrict mana regeneration.
Once players get used to the unorthodox way this form dishes out damage, they’ll quickly realize thatthe Horse is an incredibly powerful form that can send enemies flyingwith either Kick Back or Gallop. Add in the Bodybuilder’s Strongman passive perk to the Horse even stronger knockback and damage output.

7Ranger
The Ranger form is one of the first players can unlock after starting the game and unlocks once they’ve reached Rank C with the Rat form. It’s a useful and reliable form that’s necessary for completinga very challenging side quest for the Knights Guild. The Ranger is one ofNobody Saves The World’s best forms asit unlocks a suite of amazing abilities that are crucial to some of the game’s best builds.

The Ranger’s native passive perk is Poison Tipped, which grants poison effects to all the Ranger’s attacks. It also learns theArrow Flurry and Dodge abilities, two of the most effective, Sharp-style attacksin the entire game. Arrow Flurry alone is worth the investment, dishing out massive amounts of damage that, when paired with the right passives, can inflict any status effect in seconds.
6Dragon
The Dragon isNobody Saves The World’s final form, and it is rightfully as strong as this would suggest. To unlock the Dragon, players will need to reach at leastC rank with both the Necromancer and Robot forms, as well as S rank with the Egg form, which requiresfinding five special bird nests scattered around the world.
One acquired, though, the Dragon is a powerful form with great combat utility. It can travel over water,so it isn’t restricted movement-wise, and its Fire Breath and Fire Ball abilities give it a remarkable amount of area control. Players looking for a good custom build canpair Dragon’s Dread and Slug’s Secret to boost both critical hit chance and critical hit damageagainst enemies afflicted with a status effect. Throw on the Status extender perk to keep the party going even longer.

5Necromancer
The Necromancer is one of the highest tier forms inNobody Saves The World, requiring C rank status in the Mermaid, the Rogue, and the Ghost forms to unlock. And it’s well worth the effort, as it’s one of the most powerful forms in the entire game.
The Necromancer specializes indishing out Dark-type damage and summoning demon familiarsto attack enemies on its behalf. Players can equip the Magician’s Hat Trick and the Zombie’s Zombite on the Necromancer to give the form a virtually immortal army of loyal soldiers.

4Zombie
The Zombie is a form unlocked a little further intoNobody Saves The Worldafter the player has reached C Rank with the Magician form. The Zombie is a unique class in that its health is constantly ticking down, which can result in the player dying if they’re not careful. Fortunately, the Zombie has a useful passive perk,Zomnomnom, that heals the player for a percentage of all the damage they deal. Those players looking for a creative combo to take advantage of the Zombie’s degenerating health can try equipping the Monk’s Smite ability for added damage.
The Zombie’s true power, however, comes in the form of its Zombite, a terrifying attack that deals damage and infects enemy monsters. Any infected enemies transform into allied zombies upon death, swelling the Zombie’s ranks. Players can then add the Necromancer’s Blood Pact perk to the mix to create a horde of zombies that will never die.

3Mermaid
The Mermaid form’s appearance is a little shocking, as it looks more like a horrendous monster than a beautiful maiden. But what it lacks in good looks it makes up for in power and versatility, especially when paired with perks from a few other forms. To unlock theMermaid form, players will first need to reach rank C with the Slug form.

The Mermaid’s standard attack,Water Burst, has possibly the widest range of use of any attackin the entire game. It can be used in rapid-fire to hit enemies a short distance away or charged up for a shorter, more powerful blast that pushes enemies away. Pair this with the Bodybuilder’s Strongman perk and the Turtle’s Quick Charge to turn Water Burst into a quick-firing shotgun.
2Robot
The Robot is a surprising addition toNobody Saves The World, a game thattakes place in a beautiful, medieval world. But the Robot is here to stay, which is good because it’s one of the game’s most powerful forms. To unlock the Robot, players will need to reach C rank or higher with the Monk, the Turtle, and the Zombie forms.
The Robot’s standard attack is a powerful drill punch that can be held out to spin the drill and deal more damage, but the form’s real use comes from its passive perk, Steel Plated. Not only doesSteel Plated reduce incoming damage by a percentage of max health, but it also adds an aura that deals Sharp damage to any nearby enemies. When combined with Melee Mitigation or Ranged Resistance, Steel Plated can negate damage from weaker enemy attacks altogether.

1Bodybuilder
The Bodybuilder is a form players will most likelyunlock early on in the game, but it remains arguably the most powerful form well into the later portions of the story and beyond. To unlock the Bodybuilder form, players will have to reach rank A on the Ranger form, which they won’t be able to do until they’ve unlocked form customization.
The Bodybuilder has some of the strongest attacks in the entire game, and his physical strength stat is so high that he often deals more damage than other forms do with their own attacks. Both his standard attack, Bench Press, and his additional attack, Flex, dish out massive damage, andhis Strongman passive perk is a crucial part of the game’s best customization builds.

Nobody Saves the Worldis available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, PS5, and Switch.
