ThePokemonfingernail lacquers are coming courtesy of Japanese brand uka, and are set to go on pre-order on May 6 to May 11. The six colors are divided up with three of them being more muted and neutral, intended for adults. The other three are brighter, and are primarily intended for kids, though adults can of course use them as well.

The six available Pokemon are Meowth, Eevee, Piplup, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Scorbunny. Meowth is a beige color similar to its fur, Eevee is a light brown, and Piplup is a dusty shade of blue. These three colors are fast-drying and intended for adults, and are entirely vegan. Pikachu is a bright yellow, Jigglypuff is a strong pink, and Scorbunny is a bright orange. These three are intended for kids, and as such, can be washed off easily with hot water.

Each nail polish comes in a custom bottle with a silhouette of the chosen Pokemon on the front. The design is simplistic and classy looking, but at $22 a pop, these nail colors won’t be scooped up by everyone. It’s an item thatgamers who are fond of fashionand makeup will likely enjoy, but since there’s nothing inherentlyPokemon-related about the polish itself, chances are some will balk at the price.

Wearing one’s fandom on one’s fingernails isn’t unheard of, with many fans of various games and anime creating or procuring delicate and intricate art for their nails based on their favorite characters or series.Pokemonisn’t the first game company to cooperate with a nail polish brand, either, as aHaloandForzanail polishcollab recently came out that let players unlock items in-game.
