One Piece1068 finally dropped after a long break and this week’s chapter proved to be not as intense as the last few chapters. That said, it packed a lot of information concerning Dr. Vegapunk, which is something that fans expected and, at the same time,focused heavily on CP0. The Cipher Pol Aigis 0 were introduced in the arc at the very beginning, however, since then, they have not really played a significant role just yet.

That, along with much more, was tackled inOne Piece1068 and it proved to be a solid chapter after the series returned from break.
Vegapunk And Luffy
Ever since Dr. Vegapunk met Luffy, the two have engaged in a serious conversation which has led to the fans learning quite a lot about the mysteries of theOne Pieceworld.Dr. Vegapunk is extremely smartand right now is being targeted by the World Government. In the previous chapter, fans saw him ask Luffy to take him along on the Sunny and he described the event to be a twist of fate. Initially, he was expecting to die as he knew the World Government would be coming to eliminate him. Thanks to Luffy, however, Vegapunk is certainly not going to die and this chapter saw that very conversation continue.
Vegapunk revealed to Luffythat his dream is to create a free power source for the entire world. He believes that there is such a source of power that could greatly alleviate the suffering of the people all across the world and that is exactly what he has been working towards all these years. His research eventually led him to a special power source, which he describes to be an ancient fuel. This very ancient fuel is what powered the Iron Giant that attacked Mariejois 200 years ago. This led to Vegapunk falling down the rabbit hole of learning about the Ancient Kingdom and that is precisely why he’s now being targeted by the World Government. As such, the World Government want to erase him just like they did with Ohara and that is exactly why he wants to travel with Luffy aboard his ship. At the same time,Jewelry Bonney, a member of the Worst Generation, who is also present on the island, will travel with them on the Thousand Sunny.
One Piece1068 also saw CP0 make significant moves and they’re finally starting to become more active in the arc. It was only a matter of time before Rob Lucci, Kaku, and Stussy, started making a move and now that they are on Egghead, things will only heat up from here onwards. Fans saw them arrive on Egghead and, just like the Straw Hat Pirates, they were stopped by the mechanical Sea Kings that Vegapunk has created. To get around this obstacle, they used the power of S-Bear, which is the Seraphim of the former Warlord of the Sea, Bartholomew Kuma.

Surprisingly, this Seraphim has the exactsame ability that Bartholomeo Kuma possesses, which is the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. Using its powers, they were able to fly inside the island, and immediately, they were met with resistance from the Vegapunk bodies. Atlas, the strongest of the Vegapunk bodies, confronted CP0 and attempted to stop them, but was easily destroyed by Rob Lucci, who unleashed one of his strongest attacks in the Rokuogan on her, completely destroying her from the inside. It must be remembered that the goal of the CP0 is to eliminate every single body of Dr. Vegapunk and then the real body of the scientist himself. At the same time, they want to deliver the Seraphim of Bartholomew Kuma back to Egghead, however, with Luffy there, things are certainly getting more interesting.
Luffy And Lucci Cross Paths
At the end of the chapter, Luffy and Rob Lucci finally crossed paths. Luffy and his team were attempting to get off Egghead Island simply because they knew the danger headed their way. At the same time, Lucci and his group were heading to where Vegapunk was in an attempt to kill him. Now, the two have come face to face for the first time since the events of Enies Lobby. As fans remember, Luffy triumphed over Lucci during the fight in Enies Lobby. It is highly likely that the two will collide in the next chapter and Lucci will likely have grown significantly stronger, now that he’s a member of the CP0. While he certainly won’t be anywhere close to the level of the Yonko, he will still likely put up an interesting fight against Luffy, who, more than likely, will not make use of Gear Fifth.
