Luffy fighting Rob Lucci

Now, on Egghead island, Luffy and Lucci clash again and this fight, although short-lived, has made fans revisit one of the greatest fights in the entire series and see it in a new light once again. Luffy, with his Nika form, went against Rob Lucci and his awakened form inOne Piece1069, and this fight is likely to continue for quite a bit.

The History Of Luffy Vs. Lucci

Luffy and Rob Lucci are known to be bitter enemies and this was established quite early in the Water 7 arc of One Piece. During this arc, Lucci posed as a shipwright working for the Galley-La Company. His goal, in actuality, was to get to the blueprints of the Ancient Weapon Pluton which were believed to be on the island. Towards the end of the arc, Rob Lucci and his CP9 group made their grand appearance and, Luffy and Lucci traded blows for the very first time. In their first clash, Lucci overwhelmed Luffy and it was quite clear that there was a massive difference in skill between the two. However, on the way to Enies Lobby, Luffy grew several times stronger and, later, challenged Rob Lucciin the Tower of Law.

The two went on to engage in what is described to be one of the greatest fights inOne Piece,if not the greatest. It was here that Luffy made use of his Gears properly for the first time and he did so in quite some fashion, matching Lucci blow for blow. That said, Lucci appeared to be a tad stronger than Luffy at the time, however, the sheer resilience that Luffy possessed managed to pull him across the line. In the end, Luffy triumphed over his rival by unleashing a powerful Jet Gatling, and that is exactly how Rob Lucci eventually fell.

Lucci’s defeat to Luffy on Enies Lobby wasn’t final. He was still alive and breathing and, after a bit of help from his others CP9 members, he managed to escape successfully. Years later, Lucci hasnow been promoted to the CP0, which is known to be one of the most dangerous organizations within the World Government. Lucci ranks among their Masked Members and it is believed that they are the strongest of the lot. Expectedly, he has now grown much stronger than before and Egghead Island is where fans finally got a glimpse of his true powers for the very first time. As soon as Lucci infiltrated Egghead, he wasted no time and immediately gave fans a glimpse of what he’s capable of.

He unleashed a powerful Rokuogan to knock Atlas out of commission. Soon after, when he crossed paths with Luffy, the two entered combat once again. Luffy immediately went into his Gear 5th Nika state and, to the surprise of the fans, Rob Lucci revealed his awakening as well and he displayed its powers to the fullest in the previous chapter. When taking his awakening form, Lucci gains a flame cloud around him, similar to Luffy, however, black in color. The two traded blows for an extended period of time and, it looked as if Luffy held the advantage. This isn’t much of a surprise, given that Luffy is now a Yonko.

The Result Of The Fight

Without a doubt, Luffy is much stronger than Lucci at the moment. Even though he entered his Gear 5th state, Luffy is much stronger than Lucci, even in his awakened form. This was evident from the fact that Luffy was able to dodge every single one of his attacks effortlessly and hit him with a powerful strike right into his gut, sending him out of commission for a while. While Lucci is far from done, it is quite clear to see that he’s being dominated in the fight. What’s more, Luffy has also not made use of his awakened Conqueror’s Haki just yet. By all means, it appears as if Luffy is not taking Lucci as a serious threat and just enjoying the moment.

However, things took quite a drastic turn when Lucci brutally injured Se ntomaru. From here onwards, the fight will be more intense as Lucci will also have the Seraphim under his control. Most likely, Boa Hancock’s Seraphim will side with Luffy, given the affection of the parent body with Luffy. Provided that Luffy and Lucci continue their fight, the former will certainly not hold back anymore and will deal with Lucci rather quickly. That said, there are quite a few obstructions that could prevent this fight from being fleshed out fully and the arrival of Admiral Kizaru and the Navy is one of them. Whatever happens, Luffy versus Lucci was incredible for the fans to visit once again, however, this fight is no longer the same as it once was. Luffy is far superior to his adversary and an in a league of his own, by all means.
