The Paramount War ofOne Pieceshook the power balance in the world in quite a major way. This war saw the Whitebeard Pirates and their 43 ally ships invade Marineford and take on the entirety of the Navy to save the life of theirsecond Division Commander, Portgas D. Ace.The conclusion of the war was quite grim as both Ace and Whitebeard ended up dying, however, the Navy took some serious damage as well. Following the war, Sengoku retired from his position of Fleet Admiral, which meant that a power vacuum was created at the very top of the Navy.

Sakazuki, who was formerly an Admiral, when on to become the Fleet Admiral after defeating Kuzan, the man who was his rival for this position. Consequently, Kuzan left the Navy and two new Admiral positions opened up. Through a World Military Draft, Fujitora and Green Bull were electedas the two Admiralsand fans have seen quite a bit of them in the post-time skip ofOne Piece.

One Piece Zushi Zushi no Mi Admiral Fujitora Gravity Manipulation Devil Fruit

Admiral Fujitora’s Personality

Admiral Fujitora was the first of the two Admirals to be introduced in the series. He made his debut in the Dressrosa arc as a blind man and, immediately, fans felt sympathy for him. He made his way into the story as he was being cheated by gamblers since he was blind. However, when Luffy helped him out, Fujitora showed his devastating powers for the very first time. Shortly afterwards, fans realized that he is actually an Admiral of the Navy and, soon, his powers were shown in full effect. Fujitora was revealed to be a user of the Zushi Zushi no Mi and with the powers of this fruit, he could control gravity at will.

Having such a terrific Devil Fruitup his sleeve wasn’t a surprise to any fan, given how overpowered the Admirals of the One Piece world are. However, when compared to all the former Admirals in the series, Fujitora was actually quite different. He appeared to be quite an honorable person and actually went against the orders of Akainu on several occasions, simply because he wouldn’t lie to save face. Fujitora believed that it was not his place to save Dressrosa, since the Navy had failed the people consistently over the years. Instead, he put his faith in Luffy, a pirate, and at the end of the arc, apologized to the common people.

He even let Luffy escape from Dressrosa because he believed it was the right thing to do and immediately, fans could see that he had a very interesting sense of justice. InOne PieceSBS volume 106, Oda finally revealed the justice that Fujitora believes in and, as expected, it has to do with honor.

Admiral Fujitora’s Justice – Honorable Justice

Each Admiral in One Piece believes in a certain type of justice. For example, Admiral Akainu believes in Absolute Justice, which means that he would go to no end to see his justice put into effect, even if it means committing horrible crimes. Admiral Aokiji believed in Lazy Justice, which was very apparent from his personality, and, at the same time, he was much more easygoing when compared to Akainu. Kizaru, meanwhile, believes in Unclear Justice, which is very apparent from his personality as fans can’t tell what exactly he thinks and where his values lie.

When it comes to Fujitora, Oda revealed in Volume 106 SBS that he believes in Honorable Justice. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to any fan, given how Fujitora likes to behave. Honor means everything to him and this goes for when he’s gambling as well as when he’s protecting the lives of those who he is meant to protect. If Fujitora deems an act to be dishonorable, he will not do it, even if his enemy is a pirate. This was seen during the Dressrosa arc, where he helped Luffy simply because it would have been dishonorable to capture him when he had just saved the people of Dressrosa.

At his core, Fujitora is a very nice man and this was recently brought up by Vegapunk as well, although indirectly. While the Navy is the military face of the World Government, within it are several people who still fight the good fight. Fujitora certainly is one of them and his Honorable Justice is there to show for it.

Admiral Green Bull’s Personality

Along with Admiral Fujitora, Admiral Green Bull was also elected during the 2-year timeskip through the World Military Draft. Being an Admiral, it goes without saying that Green Bull is extremely powerful, however, fans had to wait quite a bit to see a display of his abilities. Green Bull debuted in the series towards the end of the Wano arc. Somehow, he found his way to Wano and infiltrated using his Devil Fruit powers. Soon after, his powers were put into effect and he was revealed to bea user of the Mori Mori no me.

Using the powers of this Logia type of Devil Fruit, Green Bull could become, control, and manipulate forests at will, making him a woods man. While fans certainly loved his character design as well as his powers, his personality was a bit of a surprise to everyone. Unlike Fujitora, Greenville is actually a very distasteful human. He simply doesn’t care much about the downtrodden and this was evident from the fact that he told the people of Wano to their faces that they have no human rights since they are not affiliated with the World Government.

Greenbull one piece

He believes that for the select few, the Celestial Dragons, those with lower rights should die and serve their purpose. At the same time, he believes that prejudice is important in some aspects of life, which just goes to show how horrific his way of thinking is. Admiral Green Bull is likely the second worst Admiral when it comes to personality after Akainu.

Admiral Green Bull’s Justice – Deadly Justice

A person as well as Aramaki would, naturally, believe in a twisted sense of justice as well and in SBS volume 106 ofOne Piece,Oda revealed that Aramaki believes in Deadly Justice. While the exact meaning of his justice isn’t made clear by the name itself, fans can take it to mean that Aramaki’s version of justice is not truly just. To enact justice, he is willing to go to any lengths, which makes it very similar to Akainu’s Absolute Justice. Aramaki appears to be a big racist and someone who openly commits crimes as long as the consequences simply aren’t there. This truly is a deadly version of justice, if it even can be called justice, to begin with. The only way this suits the narrative of being justice is if it benefits those at the very top, that is, the Celestial Dragons and, of course, Aramaki only cares about the order of the world that has been established.

He simply doesn’t care at all about the downtrodden and the weak. In essence, Aramaki’s Deadly Justice is the exact opposite of Fujitora’s Honorable Justice. This was seen once again during the Reverie arc where Fujitora allowed the Revolutionary Army Commanders to save the slaves. When Aramaki tried to prevent the slaves from escaping for the sake of this Celestial Dragons, it was Fujitora who blocked his way and the two ended up fighting. Undoubtedly, Aramaki’s Deadly Justice is very twisted, and given that he is alive and kicking, fans will see him try to enforce this Justice in the future of the story as well.
