On April 1,Outridersdropped on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia. The third-person shooter role-playing co-op video game was developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. Players take on the role of one of four different classes and embark on a sci-fi journey across a diverse yet dangerous planet.

They may choose the Devastator, defined by the official website: Close Range. Tank. Stand Your Ground. Or, the Pyromancer, defined by the official website: Medium Range. Conjurer. Fire. Perhaps, the Technomancer, defined by the official website: Long Range. Support. Gadgets. Maybe, the Trickster, defined by the official website: Close Range. Hit & Run. Spacetime. However, even though the player cannot go wrong with any of them, one of these classes is the clear winner when it comes to playingOutridersall by themselves.

4The Pyromancer

Nothing is more satisfying thansetting people on fire.

Unfortunately, of all four classes, Pyromancer is the worst. While strong, it cannot take a hit (and therefore requires good teammates for support). Pyromancers need to constantly be working towards controlling the battlefield with flaming pillars and fiery waves. And when those skills are on cooldown, better take cover since the only healing options are through killing enemies with said skills.

If the player just needs to feed that fire in their heart and choose Pyromancer though, they will be fine as long as they utilize the Thermal Bomb, which inflicts Burn and Interrupts, as much as possible and fall back on Heatwave, a wave of fire, and Feed the Flames, which pulls enemies and inflicts Ash. Therefore, the player should invest in Archmage and World Ablaze so the offense goes through the roof. In addition, they should look for equipment with Big Boom, True Blast, Final Breath, Burnt-Out, and Hellfire modifications.

3The Technomancer

Move aside, Inspector Gadget, there’s a new cyborg in town.

While better than the Pyromancer, the Technomancer falls short compared to the other two classes. It is real cool to place turrets and toss out gadgets, being all tactical on the battlefield. However, where the Technomancer shines is in a supporting role. This is because the technology at its disposal heals the Technomancer and their allies and provides support all around.

Still, the player will not be totally useless without a team if choosing the Technomancer. Scrapnel, a proximity mine, Cryo Turret, an automated turret that freezes enemies, and Pain Launcher, a missile launcher, will serve them well. On top of that, Br/8 Impact Amplifier and Anomalous Body give the player more oomph with weapons and increases their survivability. When it comes to equipment, the modifications that are best are More Traps, No Pain, No Gain, More Damage, Advanced Rockets, and Supplies.

2The Devastator

The best offenseis a good defense.

Aside from the Pyromancer and the Technomancer, which tend to be circumstantial, the Devastator is just awesome always. It benefits from higher maximum health and better armor. On top of that, the Devastator has actual healing capabilities: every close-range kill restores a quarter of the player’s total health points. Even the melee stands out with the Bleed status effect attached. Whether on a team or by themselves, the Devastator will be okay…more than okay, actually, enemies are totally screwed when this class gets too close to them.

While most builds are just fine for it, the Devastator capitalizes on damage with Earthquake, a vicious shockwave that Interrupts all enemies hit by it. In addition, throw in Gravity Leap, a jumping and smashing attack, and Reflect Bullets, a barrier that reflects then deflects bullets, and the player will be a force to be reckoned with. To complement these skills, Colossus and Anomolay Reservoir are a couple of decent picks for more survivability and mana pool. Regarding modifications, equipment with The Strongest First, Blood Primer, Auto Reflect, Bullet Acceleration, and Extra Time work best.

1The Trickster

What superpower could be better than the ability tomanipulate space and time?

The Trickster is hands down the greatest of all the four classes. In addition to being the MVP of the team, it is the MVP for the lone wolves out there as well (who are not a part of a team). The Trickster does not play it safe, it is right in the faces of enemies dishing out damage left and right. And when things get rough, it teleports away, as if the Trickster was never there in the first place.

Outriders Technomancer

Every possible setup for it works too. However, since the Trickster is already the best, the player might as well go all the way. This means using Temporal Blade, which slashing enemies to inflict Slow and Interrupts, whenever and wherever. Hunt the Prey pairs well with this too, allowing them to teleport right behind an enemy. And for when the player is at a distance, Twisted Rounds maximizes damage with weapons. So, they should also add Arms Trick and Concentration to the mix for even more attacking power. Last but not least, the equipment modifications that top it all off are Twisted Fate, Additional Mag, Slasher, Cut Loose, and Weakening the Prey.
