Ever since the announcement ofPersona 3 Reload, fans have been eager to know what’s going to change beyond graphics. However, some gamers may lose a bit of this content if they are not careful.

According to a recent interview that Ryota Niitsuma gave to Famitsu (translated by Noisy Pixel),Persona 3 Reloadwill have new Link Episodes, which are special time-limited scenes with characters. These scenes were created to allow the player to bond with male teammates, as they originally did not have Social Links (which are akin toPersona 5’s Confidants) inPersona 3. However, in case a gamer misses the deadline and loses one of these scenes, they won’t be able to progress on them any longer, potentially missing the rest of the events. Niitsuma affirmed that the best way to avoid missing out on these special scenes is by hanging out with these characters as soon they contact the main character with an invite.
The producer did not say how long the time window for the events will be, though, which will potentially determine if this design decision may cause frustration or not. While games likePersona 5 Royallock the entire post-gamedepending on whether the player maximized one of their Confidants, a potentially tight schedule inPersona 3 Reload’s situation may make these events even easier to miss. As a comparison, inPersona 5 Royal, players had the whole game to max out their friendship with the specific character and got many warnings before the deadline.
Persona 3 Reloadis set to release in February 2024, and its potential success opens the door for even more remakes. So far, fan speculation about apotentialPersona 4remakemakes sense, but Atlus has not divulged any solid information yet. So, fans should keep an eye open for more information about the upcomingPersona 3 Reloadand potential more games of the franchise.
