Fallout 76 ‘Invaders From Beyond’ Event Is Crashing a Lot, Especially on PlayStation

ButmanyFallout 76playershave been struggling to do so over the past week, primarily because of frequent crashes. The issue appears to be particularly frequent on PlayStation consoles, with both PS4 and PS5 users reporting it en masse. The event’s third and final stage, which requires defeating the tanky General Zeta, is understood to be particularly problematic, with many PlayStation gamers reporting crashing on this particular objective numerous times.

Some Xbox One Gamers Are Also Experiencing Fallout 76 Issues

Invaders from Beyond also appears to have stability issues on the Xbox One, although the volume of player complaints about them suggests they are nowhere near as frequent as on PlayStation consoles. There hasn’t been an uptick in player reports ofFallout 76crashes on the Xbox Series X/S and PC since the event kicked off. Game Rant was unable to replicate any crashes after running the event over a dozen times on PC since April 30.

The root cause of the issue may not be new; past iterations of Invaders from Beyond, particularly the one fromFallout 76Season 13, have also been suffering from crashes. And while the volume of player complaints on the matter appears to be much larger this time around, that may simply be a reflection of the fact thatFallout 76has been blowing upacross every platform since mid-April. Its ongoing popularity surge is widely attributed to the release of Amazon’s well-receivedFallouttelevision series.

Fallout 76 Alien Event Invasions Aren’t Crashing, But Have Other Problems

Other currently availableFallout 76eventsdo not appear to be suffering from frequent crashes. That’s in spite of the fact that many world activities can get invaded by the very same Zeta aliens featured in Invaders from Beyond during the two-week period ending mid-May. Even so, Game Rant found these invasions to be buggy, with player teams often having to look for aliens that are supposed to attack them because of the extraterrestrials spawning too far away from the event grounds. Some PlayStation users are saying they have completely given up on trying to complete the event and have instead resorted to procuring its rare reward plans from other players' C.A.M.P. vendors.
