Unchartedseems like it was a big hit. It’s easy to seeSonygreen lighting another film. The mid-credits scenein the movie already looked like a sequel had been shot. That may be the case but fans probably won’t know for at least another two years.

Sony has also made plans to turnTwisted MetalandThe Last of Usinto TV shows. IncludingUncharted, those are only three of its internal properties. There are plenty more first-party or exclusive game series to the PlayStation brand that Sony could use to make great films or TV shows. They may have to work with other companies on this but Sony just has to fork over the money to get the right talent for these eight ideas.

8PaRappa The Rapper

PaRappa the Rapperwould be a big hit now if it was an animated musical. That is seemingly a popular genre with kids. TheTrollsandSingmovies are mega-hits as they are animated comedies with music in them.

The one thing the market is missing is rap though. There have been animated adaptations ofPaRappa the Rapperin the past, such as an anime series, but this movie could be a bigger deal. Hopefully, it can keep the animation style but if it has to go CG to keep with the times then that should be okay too.

7Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicootmight bea tricky seriesto get into. The wild marsupial is owned byMicrosoftnow thanks to their acquisition ofActivision.Jak and Daxtercould be the easier animated comedy to make as it is their property.

However, that series doesn’t have the same appeal as Crash as a character.Mariois getting a movie.Sonichas not one, but two movies. The only big star of the 90s that is missing one is Crash. However, Sony has to make a deal with Microsoft they should get it done.

6Bloodborne

Bloodborneshould go live-action and should be propped up as a horror-action movie. They should also strive to make prosthetics, animatronics, and puppets to makesome classic beastsin this game come to life. There is no way around CG with some creatures but imagine how cool it would be to get a new high-budget movie with practical effects.

Those are always going to hold up better than with CG. The recentStar Warsshow on Boba Fett used a good amount of CG blended with practical effects and it made the show pop. HopefullyBloodbornecan learn from that.

5The Order: 1886

The Order: 1886could be another good live-action horror movie. That game only got one chance before Sony seemingly shelved it. The idea had a lot of potentials even though some thought the execution wasn’t that good. It’s about the Knights of the Round Table surviving past the Middle Ages.

The modern setting of 1886 saw this Order protecting London from an invasion of werewolves. It could adapt the game easily or it could be more of an origin story. Either way there Sony should do something with this property.

4Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasyhas had multiple movies.Final Fantasy 7in particular has had one full-length film as well as an animated OVA. There has never been a live-action movie though. IfSquare Enixhad to choose to make another movie again then they should try this game and make it live-action.

Partnering with Sony on this makes sense since a majority of the legacy is tied to thePlayStationbrand. Since it is an expansive story, one movie would not be enough. It might make for a better show but there is always the possibility of doing a side story like a prequel starring Zack and young Cloud. It could tie into thelarger remake universe.

3Wild Arms

If adaptingFinal Fantasy 7is too daunting then there isanother lesser-known RPG seriesfor them to tackle.Wild Armswould fit two genres as they are Westerns with sci-fi aspects. As they are all RPGs with equally lengthy stories asFinal Fantasy 7, it would be a good idea to make the film original.

The only thing they need to include are ARMs which are the trademarks guns of the series, along with some nods to the creatures found within. That’s all it would take to make fans smile. Set it in the Old West and turn it into an action-comedy like the anime.

2inFAMOUS

Sony has to strike while the superhero craze is still hot. There is no electric, good, superhero film out there soinFAMOUScould fill that gap up nicely. The possibilities of where the movie could go are endless. It could adopt the first game and focus on Cole with his electric powers.

It could also try to adapt the sequel series, Second Son. That is where more gifted users are introduced. Sony could try and beatMarvelto market with their ownX-Menadjacent story.

1Ghost Of Tsushima

It has been a long time since a big-budget samurai, or ninja film has released in theaters. Why not try and adaptGhost of Tsushima? It is the most recent property of Sony’s and it was a hit. The story is fairly simple as a revenge plot mixed in with an invasion-war scenario.

There are no supernatural elements so there wouldn’t be a need to spend a lot of money on CG. As far as budget is concerned, this could be the best movie for Sony to adapt right now.
