To celebrate the upcoming launch ofAstro Bot, PlayStation has revealed a limited edition DualSense wireless controller themed after the titular character. The white controller features Astro’s signature blue accents along with two bright eyes on the touchpad. One of the core game mechanics ofAstro Botis the utilization of the controller’s haptic feedback, and this new limited edition controller will take full advantage of these capabilities. The controller will allow players to feel textures, such as sand and water, as Astro interacts with them. Adaptive triggers tied directly to Astro’s powers and the blows felt during boss fights will also be output by the new controller, allowing for an even wider range of sensations for players to experience. Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller
Pre-orders for theAstro BotLimited Edition Controller will open on August 9, with players able to order directly from PlayStation or select retailers. TheAstro Botcontroller, which will only be available in limited quantities, retails at $79.99 and also releases on September 6. Along with its haptic feedback uses theAstro Botcontroller will also fully utilize motion controls and adaptive triggers when Astro is using his Dual Speeder controller ship.
