Now, one fan is giving a food-themed makeover to Tangela, turning it into a bowl of ramen.

Reddit user JaneHates shared their re-design of Tangela on thePokemonsubreddit, showing off a new look for Tangela inspired by a popular Japanese food. The ramen-themed Tangela features long and stringy ramen noodles in place of its vines with a bowl on top of its head, suggesting the Tangela isa bowl of ramen spilling over. The design boasts several other homages to the iconic Japanese dish, with a fish cake above its eye and two eggs for its feet. The user also shares their typing for the re-imagined Tangela, envisioning it as a Normal/Fairy type.

The Tangela saw plenty of praise from fans, as well as discussion around its proposed typing from the creator. Several fans pointed out thatmany ofPokemon’s food-themed creatures, like the previously mentioned Sinistea and the Milcery evolutionary line, are often slotted into Fairy typing. Some suggested thatPokemonshould officially introduce “Food” as a type within the games, given the high quantity of food-themed creatures. A few fans even proposed names for the variant Pokemon, with suggestions like “Tangenoodle” and “Tangeramen.”

The creative re-design for Tangela comes as the iconic franchise recently saw a plethora of major announcements. The “Pokemon Presents” broadcast late last month officially revealed the franchise’s next major console release withPokemon Legends: Z-Adebuting in 2025.
