Every single year thePokemonfranchise continues to be relevant to each gamer generation. Older fans seem satisfied in seeing remastered titles such asNew Pokemon Snap, and theupcomingPokemon Legends Arceus, while newcomers are able to enjoy the casual mobile arena titlePokemon Unite. This is why it is not surprising that aPokemonfan has been inspired to create fusion artwork of several popular Pokemon, especially now that the franchise has many gaming and non-gaming products out in the market.
Most familiar withPokemonwould likely agree that fan-created content is something that can be seen online daily. The fanbase is not afraid to show its love forPokemon, even though some can be quite vocal about their criticism, like with what happened with thechanges regarding mobile titlePokemon GO. Nevertheless, many fans likely prefer to show their adoration for their favorite Pokemon characters and pocket creatures, clearly indicating why there is an abundance of fanart and cosplay within the community.

On Reddit, artist Leoiruga shared some of their original artwork that combines features of two unique Pokemon together. In the post, they shared several screenshots that provided a mix of Pokemon, showcasing how dynamic their artwork could be. One photo shows the combination ofKanto Water-type Pokemon Seakingand a Vaporeon. The main body of the fused Pokemon retains most of its shape from the Vaporeon, but flaunts the orange and black color scheme of the Seaking.

The artist also created fusions for newer generation Pokemon such as the Noivern mixed withPokemon SwordandShieldexclusive Galarian Rapidash, calling it the “Rapvern” Galar Form. They also mixed together Mewtwo and Deoxys, two mythical Pokemon from their respective generations. The Pokemon born from the concept shares the obvious features from both mythicals, and looks like it was inspired by science fiction. Other fusions in the post show off the mix between Flygon and Blissey, a haunting fusion between Gengar and Girafarig, as well as Pikachu and Tentacruel. To challenge them even further, the artist also used the popularPokemonfusion generator to randomly pick Pokemon to combine, so that they can draw them in their art style.
FellowPokemonfans who are interested in seeing more from the artist can check out their work on Reddit or Instagram. Hopefully they will create more fused Pokemon art, especially now that new Hisuian forms are being announced forPokemon Legends Arceus.
