It has been two months since the lastPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer and over five months since the first reveal trailer back in February of this year. WhileThe Pokemon Company’s silence on Gen 9 might be a good signfor marketing purposes, many fans are eagerly waiting more news regarding the games, especially seeing how closePokemon Scarlet and Violetare getting to their release date. One of the problems that comes from not divulging information about the games in advance is that it becomes harder to preorder them when fans don’t even know what sort of version-exclusive differences there will be.

Most of the recent information surroundingPokemon Scarlet and Violetcome from alleged leaks and rumors, with one of the more trustworthy leakers being Riddler Khu. Although Khu said they retired recently, the leaker is still teasing information about “Project Titan” (the codename for Gen 9) via Twitter, with an example being themhinting atPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s third Legendarycreature. Khu then shared two tweets about a new Pokemon that had already been teased by another leaker.

Thisnew Pokemonis supposedly an ostrich, which is said to bear some resemblance to Cleopatra, possibly in terms of hairstyle. The pocket monster is apparently a Psychic-type, according to leaks, and now Khu is stating that this ostrich is a beauty guru. They also recently tweeted “datyo,” which means ostrich in Japanese, leading fans to believe that it was a nod to the new critter that will be introduced inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The real-world Cleopatra was indeed considered one of the most beautiful people alive, and it’s interesting that an ostrich Pokemon could be representing her in Gen 9. Curiously enough, ostrich feathers were a sort of fashion accessory in Ancient Egypt, as they were worn by men of royal descent. Ostriches were also seemingly used for riding purposes, and their eggs were painted, decorated, and often even turned into jewelry. Whether this has any meaning forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, however, remains to be seen.

Among the various alleged leaks that surfaced online in thePokemon Scarlet and Violetinformation drought, Gen 9 is supposed to also feature a regional form for Tauros and Wooper, with the former allegedly being a Fighting-type and Wooper being a Poison-type.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfans are designing their own Wooper evolutionalready, and it’s likely that fan-made designs for the ostrich Pokemon and alleged leaks about its appearance might surface in the coming weeks.
