PowerWash Simulatorwill be receivingFinal Fantasy 7-themed content for its second free DLC pack. It was earlier announced thatPowerWash Simulator, published bySquare Enix, would see aTomb Raiderpack come alongside its arrival on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles.
Theindescribably satisfyingPowerWash Simulatorwas announced for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 following a successful launch on PC and Xbox. Somewhat unorthodox for a video game, it saw players adopt the role of a professional power washer hired to clean all manner of filth across a town known as Muckingham. Online co-op allowed players to team up with five others to beautify whatever they fancy, as long as the host had already completed it. It was positively received by critics and even more so by fans who became enraptured by the compelling sights of newly washed surfaces, items, and buildings. While most locations and objects in the game remain true to life, thePowerWash SimulatorDLC based onFinal Fantasy 7promises to introduce a whole new world.

There is no release date for the Midgar Special Pack which was claimed to be coming soon to all platforms by the official Twitter account for the game. SQEX EXTREME EDGES, dedicated to overseas titles published by Square Enix, revealed that “you will be given a mission to polish familiar places and enemies such as ‘Seventh Heaven’ and ‘Guard Scorpion.'” The attached picture captures theiconicPowerWash Simulatormascotnext to Cloud’s motorcycle, the Hardy-Daytona, which is used to escape Shinra.
Seventh Heaven is a bar/restaurant owned and run by Tifa Lockhart, prominently featured in bothFinal Fantasy 7and its remake. For those that have only playedFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, the Guard Scorpion was renamed Scorpion Sentinel and is the first boss fought in the game. It will be interesting to see howPowerWash Simulatoraims to feature the iconic location and enemy given howvastly different the original andFinal Fantasy 7Remakelook. Adopting the style of the latter would make sense due to the immense graphical differences.
WithTomb RaiderandFinal Fantasymaking up the first two DLC forPowerWash Simulator, it seems as if any other video game franchises may require cleaning next. With nothing else confirmed, players will have to becontent with Lara Croft’s manor for nowandFinal Fantasy 7for now.
PowerWash Simulatoris currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
