As a tactical shooter, players need to be prepared for dangerous combat situations that may await them, and within that unpredictable nature, they might hold greater fear due to their lack of ammo. Players can only bring in a select amount of ammo magazines, which they might lose if they are too quick on an unnecessary reload, which is why this mod from Chrisianhe comes in handy.
Players can customize just how much equipment they can bring in, whether that’s 35 or 200. The spare slots allows players to play in a more creative way, even if it tends to be in an overpowered favor to them and them alone.
15Old Farm (2021)

The community always excels at nostalgia and creative content, so why not combine the two together by providing a recreation of a classic with a map from the 2021 early access build ofReady or Not? While the AI and the lighting seem to struggle in this recreation, it’s still worth visiting for the nostalgia and the sights ahead.
The map itself has secret tunnels and dangerous pathways to make for a fun remake, and it’s certainly worth the wait it might take for the game to actually load in. This is mainly a mod for those seeking a throwback, but it’s still worth a look for new players too.
14AS VAL

There is a mighty amount of guns featured inReady or Not, but there’s never anything wrong with adding a few more. the AS VAL is one of the more recent mods for the game which brings the beloved gun intoReady or Notfor players' arsenal, and those familiar with thispopular pick fromBlack Ops 6might want to test it out themselves.
The AS VAL comes with its own attachments, including an integrated suppressor. This mod will be great for players who want something a little more new-feeling when it comes to their weapon choices, and its recent popularity might be the hit they need.
13Faster Animations (5.3)

Whilst the animations ofReady or Nothelp add to the immersion and realism depicted of a tactical shooter, they can make players feel a tad stressed as they are forced to watch the slow-paced animations run their course when things need to speed up a bit in the midst of adrenaline-fueled combat.
Thankfully, the Faster Animations mod provides exactly what it says on the tin, and brings forth the same animations but at faster rates. Whether it’s an increase of 50%, 70%, or even 100%, the speed increases really help make the combat and gameplay feel fluid and fast.
12Less Recoil

Recoil can be a constant burden in the very best FPS games, so luckily, there’s a mod out there that might make it a tad more bearable for players who have a defining and smooth shooting experience. If players don’t want the game’s recoil to feel too easy, then there are different mod settings that allow for a different percentage, adjusted by muzzle, grip, and an all-in-one package.
Recoil can be pretty harsh inReady or Not, so this mod helps to balance things out. After all, the enemy AI is extremely difficult, and tweaking the recoil won’t exactly make the game a walk in the park, but it will even the odds somewhat in those heavy-fire battles.
11Remove Fog

Some games are rather demanding in terms of graphics. This means that some PCs and laptops will be unable to handle the requirements ofReady or Not, which will mean fewer players and worse frame rates for those who dare try. As such, a mod like Remove Fog is an interesting one, as the improvement to image quality benefits all, and fog can be rather damaging to people’s frames, especially lower hardware.
Whilst fog does add a level of immersion, removing it does help players to see clearer into the battlefield that awaits them ahead. Not only does removing fog add a nice line of sight, but the potential it has for lowering graphical requirements for a steady performance is also nice.
10Body Cam - Reshade Mod

Ready or Notis already extremely realistic in terms of a tactical shooter, and thanks to this Body Cam mod, players can go a step further with the immerse, creating a unique experience in which the visuals of the game are entirely changed to be that of real body cam footage like they are experiencing a real SWAT invasion video.
It helps to make the game feel more intense thanks to the way the lighting works and the body cam footage occasionally fuzzes. Whilst it may not be for everyone, due to the way the screen works and the somewhat distorted perception from the camera simulation, it’s definitely worth trying to get the most realistic experience out of one of the best tactical shooters of 2024.

With this mod installed, players can double-tap the “DeployMenu” key to open, which is set to M by default. In this menu screen, there are some great features awaiting players, allowing them to take control of their missions as host, better than the vanilla game, and with more additions:
These are all great additions, but the most notable one is the addition of adding more players into the game. Not being limited to the set count means more players can enjoy the experience, and the ability to easily select community maps, game modes, and kick griefing players, helps tomakeReady or Nota better multiplayer experience.
8Old Wenderley Psych Hospital

The community ofReady or Notis rather creative in its endeavors, and adding new player-created maps to keep the game fresh is a grand addition. Old Wenderley Psych Hospital brings the intense tactical shooter action to the creepy vibes of an old abandoned hospital, where players must navigate through echoing quiet halls to find a group of drug dealers.
Players must enter and stop the threat, and it’s not going to be easy. The concept of an abandoned hospital is already enough to install a layer of fear in some players, and body armor won’t protect against frights on this intense map.
7Stronger Swat For 1.0

This mod is a simple one, but effective. The Stronger Swat For 1.0 mod will help players stay in the fight a little longer, as their health can be increased and customized. This means that players do not have to have their health overpowered if they do not want to. Players have the choice between these health variations:
These are a large increase in the base stats, and now players will be able to have more fun in the missions. Whilst they are not immortal, they are still able to fight through more than a fair share of gunfights, especially since a lack of healing can be a bother.
