A previously undiscovered album of concept art forRed Dead Redemption 2was uploaded to ArtStation by a former Rockstar designer Daren Bader. The album was published two months ago, yet was only discovered recently by user deadasdisco in the GTAForums website.

Uploaded by the former Senior Art Director, the album showed an interesting perspective on the creative process behind one of Rockstar’s best games. TheRed Dead Redemption 2art collection gave the fans a look into the early designs of the game’s characters and locations. Although the game has garnered less support from Rockstar with itsRed Dead Online standalone release, a lot of fans still treasure theRed Dead Redemption 2storyline. With fans praising the game for its beautiful graphics and expansive world, it’s no surprise that the discovery of the concept art was treasured by many.Red Dead Redemption 2is the most popular game for digital photography, so seeing the early concept art feels like an exclusive interview.

Unfortunately, the ArtStation album linked to the GTAForum post was deleted. The album itself doesn’t show anything game-changing, but the beautiful concept art was labelled with names that might have been game features. For one, there are two images that, once downloaded, would be saved as “cliff climbing”. This may have been a feature for the original storyline gameplay ofRed Dead Redemption 2. The album also shows the early designs of some characters, the most prominent one being of Arthur Morgan.

Finding the early concept design of main character Arthur Morgan is an exciting find forRed Dead Redemption 2fans. Other images of Colonel Henry Favours and two other gentlemen were also found alongside the main character.Despite the praise for its single-player campaign, it’s been left behind the developers for it’s multiplayer counterpart.Red Dead Onlinehas taken Rockstar’s attention awayfrom the single-player campaign. Rockstar has supported theRed Dead Onlinecommunity with dedicated servers, similar toGTA Online.

Knowing thatRockstar has no plans to create a DLCfor single-player campaigns, anything new to theRed Dead Redemption 2lore is welcomed by fans. Although the album has since been deleted, some concept art was fortunately shared on the website and saved by discovering users. The early concept art is interesting to look at, especially when compared with the final versions of the characters and locations. Fans have their fingers crossed for an art book from Rockstar, to showcase the amazing concept art and work that went into this came. Hopefully, one such album and art book will be released in the future.

Red Dead Redemption 2is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2021.
