Within the last few years,Resident Evilhas begun to make a tremendous comeback. With new first-person installments and HD remakes of the older titles,Resident Evilhas reasserted itself as one of the greatest horror game franchises of all time. However, one of the more underappreciated additions toResident EvilisResident Evil: Resistance, an online multiplayer mode for theResident Evil 3remake. Now, the August update forResident Evil: Resistancewas just announced and includes quite a lot of new content.

As previously stated,Resident Evil: Resistanceis the online multiplayer mode featured in theResident Evil 3remake. The mode is heavily reliant on 4v1 asymmetrical gameplay and is very similar to games likeDead by Daylight. While the game possesses quite a lot of content already, the free August update will offer players plenty of additional content to enjoy.

The August update includes a cacophony of additional content for players to enjoy. Now, players can enjoy remixed versions of previous maps, which will be sure to make things interesting giventhe large variety of maps inResident Evil Resistance. Along with these remixed maps, there will also be a ton of new customizable items and gear for players to collect.

Finally, the update will include new survivor skins based on Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield fromResident Evil 2. These skins can be worn by any and every playable survivor featured inResident Evil: Resistance. Just in case anyone wanted to know whatJill Valentinedressed up as Claire Redfield looked like.

In any case, while this August update will give players a lot to enjoy, many fans ofResident Evil: Resistanceare still looking for more variance in terms of maps andplayable monsters and masterminds. Given how muchResident Evilcontent there is to pull from, many players feel that more can be done with this mode, especially considering the large level of monster and character variety featured inDead by Daylight.

Nevertheless, conceptually speaking,Resident Evil: Resistanceis an excellent experience with a great deal of further potential. The amount of tactics and consideration that players need to havewhile playing asResistance’smastermindmore than proves the potential that this online mode has. With any luck, Capcom will continue to build upon the foundation thatResident Evil: Resistancehas formed and hopefully will continue to provide players with additional content to enjoy.
