The wait for Resident Evil Village has finally ended as players rushed to experience the latest addition to Capcom’s long running horror franchise. Already, the game has proven to be quite popular especially on Steam where it managed to break theResident Evilfranchise’s highest peak player record. The launch also saw its biggest launch on Twitch, where viewership numbers skyrocketed, even beating out the previous high set by Resident Evil 7.
Part of that popularity no doubt comes from one of the standout features ofResident Evil Villageprior to release, the character known as Lady Dimitrescu. While Capcom intended her to be feared as one of the boss characters ofRE8, fans actually latched on to her more for her looks andquickly turned her into an internet sensation. That’s probably why fans will likely enjoy this latest bug that one player came across as they attempted to escape her castle in game.

As seen on the officialResident EvilsubReddit, Ishmaille noticed a strange thing outside of the game’s Castle area just three hours into the game. Walking towards the doors, the already massive figure of Lady Dimitrescu was surprisingly standing outside on the ledge towering over the player even more than usual. While the player was initially surprised by this discovery, it was actually unintentional and the character was somehow glitched and stuck there.
Approaching her location, thealready massively tall Dimitrescucontinued yelling threatening things towards the player, but had no way to attack them. It’s unknown how common this bug actually is as most of the comments in the thread seemed just as surprised as the player. Some joked that she was about to pull anAssassin’s Creedmove on the player by jumping off the ledge and attacking from the air, while others mentioned she was just attempting to show off from that height.
While the giant Vampire Lady continues to be a massive hit with fans and getting the bulk of the marketing, her role inside of the game isn’t quite as big as some may have assumed after all this attention. In fact, she’s essentially locked to the Castle Dimitrescu segment of the game. She acts more as a less threatening Mr. X and one that eventually leads to a final confrontation. All in all, players are likely to encounter her andbe done with the Victorian-era style vampire lady within the first few hoursof the game.
