It seems like there may be a big announcement in store for Xbox fans in the near future. A couple of comments has some fans thinking that Microsoft could be unveiling some big upcoming Xbox games sooner rather than later, with speculation pointing to one of these games being a newFableforXbox Series X.
This speculation has started based on two separate comments that are not necessarily related, but have gotten fans talking nonetheless. One comment was from IGN’s Miranda Sanchez, who has suggested that she has a “very very very exciting piece” that will be published on Monday, and that it will be “very relevant” for Xbox gamers. Elsewhere, reliable industry insider shinobi602 has suggested that Xbox fans “won’t have to wait too much longer” to see games from the company that include “gorgeous fantasy worlds,” “reboots,” and “big sci-fi.”

It’s entirely possible that Xbox fans are connecting dots that aren’t there, but some think that the tease for “gorgeous fantasy worlds” combined with the IGN tease of exciting news coming on Monday is an indication that the newFablegame is set to be revealed soon. Presumably, thisFablegame will be on the way for the Xbox Series X, though it’s possible that an Xbox One version is waiting in the wings as well.
A newFablegame has been rumored for years now, with fans expecting to see it with each passing E3 only for no announcement to take place. Rumor has it thatPlayground Games is making the newFable, which has fans excited because of the superb work that Playground has done with theForza Horizonseries. Whether or not there’s any truth to those rumors remains to be seen, but hopefully fans truly don’t have to wait too much longer to find out.
If Microsoft is planning to reveal the newFableon Monday as some have speculated, the timing does seem a bit strange. After all, Microsoft just hosted one of itsInside Xbox presentations, which seems like it would be the best way to announce such a game. Considering this, it’s possible that the Xbox news coming on Monday is completely unrelated toFable, and so fans should definitely keep their expectations in check.
Whatever Microsoft has in store for the future, the wait really shouldn’t bethatmuch longer. After all, Microsoft was planning to host a presentation at E3 2020 where it was expected to pull the curtain back on a variety of its upcoming Xbox One and Xbox Series X projects.Microsoft is planning a digital event in place of its E3 presentationnow that E3 2020 has been canceled, and while no specific date has been announced, one has to imagine that it will take place around the same time that E3 was scheduled in June.
Fableis rumored to be in development for Xbox Series X.
