Every so often, the gaming world has a monumental release that comes to define the industry. Whether that’s the continued dominance ofGTA 5to the point that Rockstar Games just recently confirmedactive development onGrand Theft Auto 6, whether that’sBreath of the Wild 2which has seen every open-world game since compared to it, or whether that’sSkyrimwhich has arguably had the longest-lasting impact on RPGs as a whole compared to anything else, big releases live on.
ForSkyrim, this has resulted in multiple re-releases, mods, comparisons, pop culture references, cosplay, art, crafting, and so much more.Skyrim’s impact on the immediate and related gaming industries is self-evident, and sometimes this leads to some nice surprises.

Craftsmen and Blacksmiths have often recreated variousSkyrimweapons, and they always manage to impress. Redditor ninemarrow’s story differs a little bit, however. The Redditor recently showcased a legitimate steel-forged Daedric dagger in an antique store of all places. There’s no real story of how it got there or if the owners knew what it was, but it’s certainly a nice find while antique shopping.
As seen above, ninemarrow also posted a video of themselves wielding the Daedric Dagger replica. It’s clearly well-crafted and indeed looks identical to the ones found in game. Everything from the serrated edge to the unique, curved handle ofSkyrim’s Daedric weaponsmanages to be a pinpoint recreation.
Of course, as Reddit does, the community had a good time with this discovery—as of this writing, it has over 7000 upvotes. Many reasonably question how it got into an antique store to begin with, especially considering how likely thisDaedric Daggerstands out compared to any other memorabilia. Some even joked about whether or not ninemarrow found it enchanted or had to enchant it themselves.
As Daedric Dagger won’t spawn inSkyrimuntil players are in the high 40s/low 50s levels, many also remarked about the general skill and “level” as a human that ninemarrow must have. Another joke asks if they paid for it, alluding to theSkyrimDragonborn’s capacity for violence and thievery upon shops. Nonetheless, it’s all in good spirits, and many seem impressed with this find. It’s a unique one for sure, but as more and moreSkyrimcrafts are made, it may be worth double-checking any unique or rare finds while simply shopping around.
